The Bachelor of Science in Psychology program of Ifugao State University proudly congratulates its students who were elected as officers of the National Service Training Program–Civic Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CWTS).

Their election reflects the trust and confidence of their fellow students in their ability to lead, organize, and contribute meaningfully to initiatives that promote community welfare, civic responsibility, and national development. As newly elected officers, they now carry the important responsibility of helping transform the principles of citizenship and volunteerism into purposeful programs and collective action.

Leadership in NSTP-CWTS extends beyond holding a position. It requires a genuine commitment to service, responsiveness to community needs, responsible decision-making, and the ability to inspire others to participate in building safer, stronger, and more compassionate communities.

Meanwhile, Sheen Ashley Hagada was elected as a Board Member of the Vocational Leaders of the Philippines - College Chapter IFSU Lamut (VLPCC).

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology program of Ifugao State University successfully conducted its Program Orientation on July 14, 2026, for the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027, bringing together students, faculty members, and academic leaders to establish a shared understanding of the program’s direction, expectations, opportunities, and responsibilities.

The orientation introduced students to the BS Psychology curriculum, program policies, academic requirements, student services, faculty members, and the various academic and co-curricular opportunities available throughout their college journey. It also provided essential guidance on professional conduct, ethical responsibility, academic integrity, and active participation in activities designed to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and personal development.

Beyond academic orientation, the program also served as a meaningful occasion to recognize leadership, service, and institutional continuity within the BS Psychology community.
The outgoing officers of the Psychological Society were honored for their dedication, initiative, and valuable contributions to the organization and the program. Their service reflected the important role of student leadership in promoting unity, participation, and a stronger sense of community among Psychology students.

The appreciation of the outgoing officers was followed by the election of the new Psychological Society officers, who will assume the responsibility of leading the organization and representing the interests and aspirations of the student body. As they begin their term, they are called to uphold the values of responsible leadership, collaboration, integrity, and service.

The activity likewise provided an opportunity to honor the former Dean for the leadership, support, and contributions extended to the College of Arts and Sciences and the BS Psychology program. The occasion recognized the significant role of academic leadership in advancing quality instruction, student development, and institutional growth.

At the same time, the program formally welcomed the leadership of the new Dean, marking the beginning of another chapter for the College. This transition represents renewed opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and continued progress toward the achievement of shared academic goals.

More than an occasion for disseminating information, the Program Orientation became a celebration of beginnings and transitions—welcoming students into a new academic year, expressing gratitude to those who have completed their terms of service, and entrusting new leaders with the responsibility of carrying the organization and the College forward.
As another academic year begins, the BS Psychology program remains committed to nurturing competent, principled, compassionate, and socially responsive future psychology professionals. May every lesson, challenge, leadership opportunity, and shared experience strengthen our students’ purpose and bring them closer to the professionals they aspire to become.

IFSU BS Psychology Class of 2025 alumna and BLEPP topnotcher Ms. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕. 𝗕𝗮𝘇𝗮, graced the 6th Pinning Ceremony of the BS Psychology Program as its keynote speaker, bringing a message of excellence, perseverance, and purposeful professional growth to the program’s student interns.

Baza distinguished herself by placing 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 bringing pride and honor to the BS Psychology program and Ifugao State University. Her achievement reflects the value of disciplined preparation, resilience in the face of challenges, and an unwavering commitment to one’s professional aspirations.
Returning to the program that helped shape her academic journey, Baza shared meaningful insights drawn from her experiences as a Psychology student, licensure examination candidate, and emerging professional. Her presence made the ceremony especially significant, as she once stood where the student interns now stand—preparing to move beyond classroom instruction and apply their knowledge, skills, and values in actual professional settings.

Through her keynote message, she encouraged the interns to approach their training with humility, responsibility, and a genuine willingness to learn. She emphasized that professional success is built not only through academic competence, but also through ethical practice, perseverance, compassion, and commitment to serving others.

On July 14, 2026, the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program of Ifugao State University proudly commemorated its 6th Pinning Ceremony of their practicum students, a significant milestone marking the students’ transition from classroom-based learning to supervised professional training.

More than a ceremonial tradition, the pinning represents years of academic preparation, perseverance, personal growth, and commitment to the values of the psychology profession. It symbolizes the trust placed upon our students as they prepare to apply their knowledge and competencies in actual Clinical and Industrial/Organizational settings.

As they receive their pins, our student interns also embrace the responsibilities that accompany them—to uphold ethical principles, demonstrate professionalism, respect the dignity and welfare of every individual, and continuously pursue competence in their chosen field. The ceremony serves as a reminder that becoming a psychology professional requires not only knowledge and technical skills, but also empathy, integrity, accountability, and a sincere commitment to service.

The BS Psychology program recognizes the dedication of the students, faculty members, families, and individuals who have supported them throughout their academic journey.
