Representatives of Northwestern University, led by Center for Information and Communication Technology Director Christopher Ching Viloria and Information Technology Consultant Atty. Robert Camarillo, recently visited the Samsung Business Experience Studio in Manila to explore innovative technologies and potential institutional collaborations.

The visit provided an opportunity for discussions between Northwestern University and Samsung on advancing digital transformation initiatives, including smart classrooms, digital management systems, research support technologies, and other modern platforms designed to enhance academic operations, learning environments, and institutional efficiency.

The engagement reflects the university’s commitment to embracing innovation and strengthening its capability to deliver future-ready education and digitally enabled services.

Northwestern University strengthens its global presence in innovation and visionary leadership as the NWU PhilForesight Institute presents its future-ready governance initiative during the 2026 HLU Annual Conference & WURI Global Rankings Ceremony in Taiwan.

Northwestern University, through NWU PhilForesight Institute, proudly showcased its globally recognized initiative during the Poster Presentation Session of the 2026 HLU Annual Conference & WURI Global Rankings Ceremony hosted by National Chi Nan University (NCNU), Taiwan.

The poster presentation featured “FutuRise and Beyond: Institutionalizing Anticipatory Governance as a Catalyst for University and Community Innovation,” highlighting Northwestern University’s innovative approach in embedding futures thinking, anticipatory governance, and innovation across education, research, governance, and community engagement.

The presentation also comes as Northwestern University celebrates another milestone in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026, ranking 5th in the world out of 330 entries and 1st in the Philippines under the Visionary Leadership (B1) category.

Through the NWU PhilForesight Institute and UNESCO Chair on Anticipatory Governance and Regenerative Cities, the university continues to advance transformative and future-ready leadership that empowers students, educators, institutions, and communities to shape resilient and inclusive futures.
