DAY 2 | May 19, 2026 🇸🇬 IAU's SG Summer Camp!

What does the future of aviation look like? Our students explored the answer firsthand through an inspiring "Aviation Past to Aviation Future" lecture by Matthew Flaherty, Vice Chancellor and Head of Asia at Embry-Riddle Asia , followed by an eye-opening visit to MITRE Corporation, a global leader in aviation and aerospace innovation.

The day began with engaging icebreaker activities at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Asia Campus, fostering teamwork and camaraderie among our future aerospace professionals. Students then gained valuable insights into the evolution of aviation, emerging technologies, and the opportunities shaping the future of the industry.

In the afternoon, participants visited MITRE Corporation, where they were introduced to cutting-edge research and real-world solutions that support safer and smarter aerospace operations. Our sincere thanks to Kenny Raditia for graciously hosting our delegation and sharing valuable insights from his work in operations, analytics, and strategy, giving students a broader understanding of the diverse opportunities within the aerospace industry. We also extend our appreciation to Alvin Macabagdal Ting, Systems Administrator at MITRE, for helping make the visit both meaningful and memorable.

The learning continued beyond the classroom as students immersed themselves in Singapore's vibrant culture, enjoying the famous satays at Lau Pa Sat before taking in the spectacular nighttime views of Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion.

From visionary discussions about the future of flight to hands-on industry exposure and cultural exploration, Day 2 was a remarkable experience that broadened perspectives and fueled aspirations.

DAY 1 | May 18, 2026🇸🇬 IAU's Singapore Summer Camp!

On May 18, 2026, our Senior High School students from Indiana Aerospace University arrived in Singapore and embarked on an exciting journey of learning, discovery, and industry immersion at Embry-Riddle Asia Campus. The day started with a warm welcome from the ERAU Asia team, followed by an informative campus presentation and tour that introduced our students to one of the world's leading aviation and aerospace institutions.

A major highlight of the day was the visit to the The Boeing Company Operations Centre, where students gained valuable insights into real-world aerospace operations and the innovative technologies that drive the global aviation industry. This unique experience provided an up-close look at the professional environment that shapes the future of flight.

From exploring world-class facilities to engaging with aviation professionals, Day 1 set the stage for a week filled with learning, inspiration, and unforgettable experiences.

Here's to new horizons, meaningful connections, and the next generation of aerospace leaders!

This occasion serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our predecessors in their pursuit of liberty and the betterment of our country. May this celebration inspire every Filipino to uphold the values of unity, patriotism, and national pride for generations to come.

Aerospacers are advised that there will be no classes in observance of this national holiday. This will give students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to pay tribute to this historic event and reflect on the enduring legacy of our nation's independence.
