From Roots to Reefs, we are building a more sustainable tomorrow!

The Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management students of Sto. Niño Mactan College together with Inner Wheel Club of Cebu Lapu-Lapu, District 386 proudly participated in the launching and kick-off ceremony of the “Roots to Reefs” environmental program at Cebu Ocean Park on August 17, 2026.

Through mangrove planting, coastal cleanups, and marine conservation initiatives, our students are learning that responsible tourism goes beyond exploring destinations, it means protecting our natural heritage and preserving it for future generations.

Together, let us nurture our roots, protect our reefs, and inspire meaningful action for our planet. 💚

🔒 SECURITY ANNOUNCEMENT | TIGHTENED SECURITY MEASURES

For the safety and protection of our entire school community, all persons entering the school campus are required to undergo security inspection.

Please be advised that all bags, backpacks, packages, and personal belongings will be inspected upon entry at the school gate and school entrance area.

We kindly ask all students, parents, guardians, employees, visitors, and guests to cooperate fully with our security personnel and allow additional time when entering the campus, especially during peak hours.

These measures are being implemented to help maintain a safe, secure, and protected learning environment for everyone.

Sto. Niño Mactan College had a successful seminar conducted by the Philippine Air Force (PAF), the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), entitled “Campus Peace and Development Forum.” The institutional event took place on August 12, 2026, at the college campus.

The primary objective of the forum was to educate and equip all first-year NSTP college students with critical knowledge regarding national security. Highly qualified representatives from the PAF and AFP discussed current internal and external threats facing the student body and the nation.

By raising awareness on these critical issues, the seminar empowered our freshman students to remain vigilant, foster a culture of peace, and actively contribute to community development.

Sto. Niño Mactan College extends its deepest gratitude to the personnel of the Philippine Air Force and the Armed Forces of the Philippines for their invaluable time and commitment to molding civic-conscious citizens.

SNMC Bachelor of Science in Criminology Students in Action!

Our Sto. Niño Mactan College (SNMC) BS Criminology students proudly took part in the successful IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu Cebu 2026, one of the city’s major international sporting events, held on August 9, 2026. The event welcomed more than 1,400 athletes from 48 countries, giving our students valuable exposure to a truly world-class event.

Through their deployment, our students experienced real-world learning beyond the classroom, demonstrating discipline, teamwork, responsibility, alertness, and commitment to public service.

At SNMC, we believe education becomes even more meaningful when students are given opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills in actual community and international events.

Challenges may interrupt the day, but they will never interrupt our commitment to education.

Despite the power interruption, classes at Sto. Niño Mactan College (SNMC) continued because every learning opportunity matters. We chose solutions over excuses, resilience over setbacks, and progress over complaints.
