The IDRRMU family came together for a meaningful two-day Annual Year-End Review and Oathtaking of New Members, held on December 13–14 at the scenic Alta Cebu Resort. The event was filled with reflections on achievements, valuable training sessions, strengthened camaraderie, and a renewed commitment to service. As new members officially took their oath, the celebration marked not only the close of a productive year but also the beginning of greater collaboration and resilience in the year ahead.

On December 17, the IDRRMU shared the spirit of the holiday season through a meaningful gift-giving activity for the school's guards, maintenance personnel, and staff. This initiative served as a heartfelt recognition of their dedication and invaluable service in keeping the campus safe, orderly, and well-maintained throughout the year.

As the holidays bring warmth and reflection, this simple gesture honored the hard work and commitment of those who quietly ensured that the school continued to run smoothly every day.

𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒇𝒆𝒕𝒚 𝑺𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈

The Unit has successfully facilitated the conduct of the Fire Safety Seminar and Training in partnership with the Lapu-Lapu City Fire Protection Department (LLCFPD) last November 26, 2025. The seminar was led by the esteemed facilitators from the Lapu-Lapu City BFP personnel led by SFO2 Oiretuele C. Baguio, who shared vital tips on mitigating fire and provided comprehensive information for participants from the Basic Education and College Departments.

The training concluded with an actual open fire simulation. The attendance and active engagement of the students, faculty, and staff in learning critical safety protocols are highly valued and crucial to the community's preparedness. A big thank you to all who participated!

On November 23, the IDRRMU held its 1st General Assembly for the second semester.

The program began with an energizer to boost the energy of the members. Following this, the respective officers delivered essential Division and Unit Updates to ensure all members were properly informed and aligned for the term.

Unity Quest ignited a spark within the unit as members gathered for an inspiring call to action facilitated by our esteemed Student Affairs Office Director, Ms Maria Luz G. Cahayagan. This wasn't just another meeting; it was a dynamic session designed to reignite our passion for service and underscore the power of unity in disaster response. With an engaging activities, we explored new horizons for connection, collaboration and discovered fresh avenues to amplify our impact. The assembly concluded with a valuable team-building activity specifically designed to unite members across different waves, strengthening the overall cohesion of the unit.

The IDRRMU stands mobilized, informed, and collaboratively prepared for the semester's initiatives.

We invite all College and Basic Education students to come to the Fire Safety Seminar Training on November 26, 2025. This event will be held at the IAU Arena at 9:00 AM.

This training is a crucial opportunity for us to learn how to prevent fire hazards and respond correctly during emergencies. Let us come together to prepare ourselves and fulfill our goal of being ready to serve in times of need.
