Task Description:

Our first-year students were task to disassemble the O-235 Lycoming engine under close supervision by our technical instructor. They inspected the engine components for corrosion, wear, damage, and overall condition. After the inspection, students properly applied oil to the engine parts to prevent corrosion and provide lubrication before reassembling the engine following the proper procedures.

This weekโ€™s task โ€“ our first-year students are required to conduct a visual and physical inspection of the aircraft cylinder to assess its overall condition. Upon identification of corroded parts, the students were tasked to perform proper cleaning and removal of corrosion using approved tools, materials and procedures.
