Rosal, through the Albay Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), has announced the suspension of in-person classes at all levels in public and private schools across Albay on September 29โ€“30, 2026.

๐€๐๐๐Ž๐”๐๐‚๐„๐Œ๐„๐๐“ | Bicol University will observe the 34th National Family Week on Monday, September 28, 2026, through a combination of online classes and work from home arrangements to encourage the University community to spend meaningful time with their families.

Under Office Memorandum No. 324, s. 2026, all classes at all levels shall be conducted through an online asynchronous modality, while non-teaching personnel, with specified exceptions, shall observe a work from home arrangement from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Beginning at 1:00 p.m., members of the University community are encouraged to participate in Kainang Pamilyang Pilipino, an initiative that highlights the importance of family bonding, communication, and togetherness.

The University enjoins everyone to take part meaningfully in the celebration and recognize the vital role of Filipino families in society.

Pursuant to Office Memorandum No. 321, s. 2026, faculty members are directed to incorporate appropriate, factual, and credible learning materials and activities concerning the historical context, significance, and lessons of the Martial Law period into their respective courses.

The University encourages the academic community to use the observance as an opportunity for historical understanding, critical inquiry, respect for human rights, democratic values, and responsible citizenship, while ensuring the continuity of academic activities through the asynchronous setup.
