The CASE Community proudly congratulates the first year students of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education for once again bringing pride and honor to the department during the 15th Gabi ng Karapatang Pantao spearheaded by the Center for Community Involvement of University of Santo Tomas - Legazpi.
Through powerful storytelling and meaningful filmmaking, the students showcased short films representing different sectors of society and the realities continuously experienced in the Philippines today.
For the second consecutive time, blocks from the CASE Department dominated the awards ceremony:

"Pagtalingkas"
by: Sipat Sikolohiya Productions (1PSYCH)
1PSYCH earned the top distinction for their compelling portrayal of the โGuroโ or Teachers sector through their short film titled "Pagtalingkas".
The production was led by Overall Project Head Marian Ysabel Yap and Assistant Project Head Maxene Roux Macasinag, and was directed by Showby Danielle Baytec with Assistant Director Christine Joy Lactao.
The film was brought to life by its cast, featuring Jamill Maureen Marfil as Maria Gonzales, Kate Ashley Banzuela as Stephanie Villegas, Roselyn Buban as Angela Flores, and Chloe Lizbeth Aragon as Mrs. Gonzales.
It was written by Chloe Lizbeth Aragon, Isaiah Aviado, Siegfred James Balota, Lorain Banta, Dynah Melisse Marcos, and Isalea Riva Medina

"Hiling"

1CASE, representing the โMatatandaโ or Senior Citizens sector, captivated the audience and judges through the heartfelt film based on a true story titled "Hiling".
Directed by Jhea Jazmin, with Aizel Genova serving as editor and Jirah Jacob as Cinematographer with scripts and story written by Marielle Duero, Anna Francisco, and Jhezelle Velasco.
The film was brought to life by its lead actors Raiza Barrameda and Jhon Carlo Rivas, delivering a heartfelt portrayal of their respective roles.
๐ผ๏ธ In a separate recognition, 1CASE also secured the ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ต๐๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฎ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ด๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ฎ ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐ผ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ (Best Poster award), further showcasing the groupโs creativity and excellence in visual storytelling beyond their film entry.

This victory continues the legacy established by our previous CASE representatives during the 2023 Gabi ng Karapatang Pantao, where 1CASE2 secured the Best Short Film title and 1CASE1 claimed the 1st Runner-Up distinction.

At sa pagtatapos ng gabing ito, mas lalong pinatunayan ng mga estudyante ng CASE na ang pagkahilig sa sining, pagsusulat ng makabuluhang kwento, at pagiging boses para sa mga adbokasiya ng lipunan ay patuloy na nabubuhay at umuusbong sa bawat Tomasinong handang magsalita para sa bayan.
