Today is recognized as the International Dance Day by the International Theatre Institute, UNESCO, and ASEAN Philippines 2026.

The art of dance transcends cultural and language barriers. The art itself is a universal language widely understood by many and a representation of one's culture and heritage. Today, we celebrate its importance in connecting lives through entertainment and art.

In Bicol University, we value the art of dance and its contribution to the cultural and artistic landscape. Through our BU Culture and the Arts Program, we appreciate the art form as an opportunity to recognize its ability to connect, inspire, and entertain people.

[ LOOK ] The cast of Trip to Buwan paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres III at the BU Executive Center, Daraga, Albay on April 15, 2026.

The cast was recently hailed as CHAMPION on the Short and Sweet Play (Musical) at the 2026 National Culture and the Arts Festival.

[ 2026 PASUC NCAF ] Bicol University delegates joined the Grand Parade and Opening Ceremony of the 2026 PASUC National Culture and the Arts Festival with the theme, “Pagpasidungog sa Aton Panublion, Kultura kag mga Bahandi,” at West Visayas State University, April 8, 2026.

BU and SorSU won 3rd place in the Festival Dance Competition.
