In accordance with Bicol University Office Memorandum No. 325, series of 2026, dated September 28, 2026, all Bicol University students and faculty members are hereby informed of the implementation of online classes on September 29โ€“30, 2026, in view of the scheduled nationwide transport strike.

๐Ÿ”ต September 29โ€“30, 2026 โ€“ All classes shall be conducted through online synchronous or asynchronous modes, as mutually agreed upon by students and faculty members.

๐Ÿ”ต Midterm examinations originally scheduled on the affected dates may be deferred and rescheduled during the following week, with the exact date and time to be determined through mutual agreement between the concerned professor/s and students.

Students are encouraged to coordinate with their respective faculty members regarding class arrangements, learning activities, and any concerns arising from the implementation of the memorandum.

September is ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜๐—ต. A month to raise awareness about su***de, give focus on mental health education, and remind one another that seeking help is entirely normal and shows sign of strength.

Su***de prevention begins with understanding that warning signs can vary from person to person. Feelings of despair, sudden changes in mood or behavior, pulling away from friends and family, or talking about death or su***de could be signs that someone is struggling mentally and needs help and assistance.

โ”๐™’๐™๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™˜๐™–๐™ฃ ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช ๐™™๐™ค?

- ๐‘๐„๐‚๐Ž๐†๐๐ˆ๐™๐„ possible warning signs and changes in behavior.
- ๐‘๐„๐€๐‚๐‡ ๐Ž๐”๐“ when you notice someone may be struggling.
- ๐‹๐ˆ๐’๐“๐„๐ with patience, and without judgment.
- ๐‘๐„๐€๐’๐’๐”๐‘๐„ them that they do not have to face their struggles alone.
- ๐‘๐„๐…๐„๐‘ them to trusted people, and reliable individuals, or mental health professionals.

There is no reason to think that talking about su***de will lead to someone taking their own life. Sometimes, simply asking, "Are you okay?" can greatly help an individual and may be a way to open a conversation that someone may have been afraid to start.

This Su***de Prevention Month, let's put an end to the stigma and let's make it easier for people to reach out and receive the help they need. ๐Ÿ’š

You don't always have to know the right words. What matters is you are there, listening, and helping a friend or an individual, and it can already make a big difference.
