Bicol University Architecture Students' Association- BUASA A duly recognized college-based organization of the Bicol University Institute of Design and Architecture

HISTORY
Architecture started in Bicol University in the 1970’s but always ends up in the Second semester of each school year. Finally, in the second year (1977-1978) the enrolled first year students pursued and stayed. In the next school year, new Student Organization was born and was simply named “ARCHITECTURE”. In the school year 1984-1985, the organization in its hope to better its linkages, re

named itself “Architecture Student Organization in the Philippine-BU Chapter”, anchoring to a national architecture students’ organization. It was during this time that Architecture Student of BU had a rich experience working, learning and having fun with the students from all over the country. Experience had been a good teacher to the organization. A new realization aim and the organization was renamed again as we know it today, the Bicol University Architecture Students’ Organization (BUASA). VISION
The Bicol University Architecture Students’ Association shall be a center of youth leadership unified in their involvement, commitment, and awareness of their moral and social responsibilities, economic, opportunities and political rights as student of the university. GOALS
To attain an atmosphere for student leadership and governance while having strong linkage and work with other school-based organization within and outside the university and as well as the community. Embark the new programs, activities or projects that are relevant to the student growth. Enhance development of moral, spiritual, social, intellectual and physical well-being of students as tools for good relationship within them as well as other young people, superiors, authority and all walks of people.

The booth featured the popular "Henna Tattoo services" along with "Face Paint," a "Sketch booth," "Sticker and Pins selling," "Rodeo bottle flip game," and "Fruit Soda beverages" all organized and facilitated by members of the organization. The Rodeo Festival-themed block markers created by each year level were also proudly displayed at the booth!

This win is a true testament to the team's creativity, passion, and tireless hard work. 🏜️💫

𝐁𝐔𝐀𝐒𝐀 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 | Splash into the Beat: PagBUnyag 2026 Music Performance and Water Rave Party!

Day 2 of PagBUnyag: The Bicol University Freshie Welcome Party kept the energy soaring as it brought splashes, music, and fun together at the BU Commencement Grounds! After showcasing proud culture and creative talent on August 14, 2026, students danced, got soaked, and celebrated under the flickering lights that day. 🥂🎶

Starting in the afternoon, local bands set the stage ablaze before the main guest performer 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙡 𝙙𝙚 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨, (𝗠𝗥𝗟𝗗) spellbound the crowd with her music. By nightfall, the energy shifted into a roaring 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆, where blasts of water, pulsing bass, and dazzling visuals brought the drenched crowd to life. Every beat celebrated BU roots, every wave of water ignited university spirit, and every cheer carried the excitement of a new journey!

The show was great, the music was loud, and Day 2 was full of fun!

Day 1 of PagBUnyag: The Bicol University Freshie Welcome Party held on August 13, 2026 has officially unfolded in a spectacular display of culture & creativity. 🎭✨

From the vibrant parade that marched from the Peñaranda Park to the Main Campus, the spirit of the different colleges shone through as they took inspiration from the rich festivals across the Bicol provinces. Among the scenes were the cowboys & cowgirl as the Institute of Design and Architecture showcased the epic Rodeo Masbateño!

This day, highlighted by the spectacular festival performances and various booth showcases, is sure to be remembered thanks to the collaborative efforts of the students and organizations of Bicol University!
