Today, August 21, 2026, we commemorate the 43rd Death Anniversary of Benigno โ€œNinoyโ€ Aquino Jr., whose courage and sacrifice became an important part of the Filipino peopleโ€™s journey toward freedom and democracy. His unwavering commitment to the country reminds us that love for the nation is shown not only through words, but also through the courage to stand for what is right.

As we remember his legacy, may we also be reminded of our responsibility to uphold truth, justice, freedom, and democracy. Let his sacrifice inspire us not only to remember the past, but also to contribute to building a nation worthy of the hopes and sacrifices of those who came before us.

The final day of PagBUnyag 2026: Pista ng Pagsalubong officially commenced on August 14, at the Bicol University Main Grounds, bringing the two-day celebration to a vibrant close filled with excitement and memorable moments.

The BU College of Industrial Technology (BUCIT) joined fellow students in celebrating the freshies welcome party. The day was made even more lively with performances that brought energy to the festivities. The celebration also featured the much-awaited awarding ceremony, recognizing the students and colleges who showcased their talent, creativity, participation, and BUEร‘O spirit throughout the PagBUnyag 2026.

The activity aims to strengthen disaster preparedness by practicing the proper earthquake procedure : ๐——๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ธ, ๐—–๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ, and ๐—›๐—ผ๐—น๐—ฑ - followed by a ๐—™๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—˜๐˜…๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด๐˜‚๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ demonstration conducted to enhance fire emergency response skills and promotes safety awareness.

This drill serves us a reminder that we need to stay prepared and calm in this kind of situation. By practicing this procedures correctly the BUCITeรฑo's are knowledgeable enough to respond when the real disaster happens.
