PUP Leyte Campus and LTO Region VIII held a coordination meeting to formalize a partnership that will bring essential land transportation services and road safety education closer to our community.

Highlights include plans for an LTO Mobile Unit deployment at PUP Leyte for student permit applications and license renewals, and a free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) for students and nearby barangays.

This collaboration sets the stage for promoting legal, safe, and accessible transportation services for the academic community and beyond.

🌿 Student Development through Wellness and Mental Health 🌿

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Leyte Campus, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Leyte, Leyte, successfully conducted a meaningful Forum-Seminar on Wellness and Mental Health for our students. This initiative highlighted the vital role of mental and emotional well-being as the cornerstone of academic success, personal growth, and holistic development.

We were privileged to have our Guidance Counselor, Mr. Christian Ranche, as the resource speaker. Through his engaging discussion, he shared practical and empowering strategies on self-care, resilience, and fostering a supportive peer environment within the campus community.

The seminar was met with positive and heartfelt responses from participants. Students described the experience as both enlightening and empowering—helping them feel more confident in managing stress, more open to seeking support, and more inspired to uplift one another. As part of the activity, students composed personal reflection letters about their mental health journeys, expressing their current state and outlining actionable steps to sustain their well-being. These reflections became a powerful exercise in self-awareness, growth, and commitment to wellness.

This initiative, strengthened by the partnership with the LGU, reflects our unwavering dedication to nurturing not only academic excellence but also the overall health and well-being of our students. Together, we continue to cultivate a resilient, compassionate, and empowered PUP Leyte Campus community. 💙
