𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀, 𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗸 𝘀𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗸𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻

Kalahok ang mga mag-aaral at g**o ng senior high school, pormal na idinaos ng Homobono H. Gonzalez National High School (HHGNHS) ang symposium kaugnay ng 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) sa isang komprehensibong programa na ginanap sa Covered Hall ng paaralan mula 8:00 AM hanggang 11:00 AM ngayong araw, Disyembre 09, 2025.

Ang kampanya ay tumatakbo mula Nobyembre 25 hanggang Disyembre 12, 2025, na nakasuporta sa panawagang maging "United for a VAW-free Philippines" ng Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).

Ang programa, na pinangunahan ni Gilda A. Castañeda (Secondary School Principal) bilang Overall Chairperson ng Working Committees, ay naglalayong itaas ang kamalayan ng komunidad sa paglikha ng isang "VAW-Free Community."

Sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Libmanan Municipal Police Station, tinalakay ang mga mahahalagang batas na nagpoprotekta sa kababaihan at bata sa ilalim ng keynote lecture segment.
Nagbigay-liwanag si PCAPT. FATIMA I. LANUZA (Deputy Chief of Police ng Libmanan MPS) at ang kinatawan ng Women & Child Protection Desks tungkol sa: Republic Act 9262 (Anti-VAWC Act of 2004) at Republic Act 11313 (Safe Spaces Act o Bawal Bastos Law).

Bukod sa mga panayam, nagkaroon din ng mga Audio Visual Presentation (AVP) na tumalakay sa "VAW Throughout the Life Cycle" at "VAW-Free Community" upang mas maunawaan ng mga dumalo ang iba't ibang anyo ng karahasan.

Nagtapos ang programa sa paggawad ng Certificates at photo opportunity sa pangangasiwa ng School Head, GAD FP, at Guidance Documentation Committee.

‎𝗛𝗛𝗚𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻
‎
‎On December 09, 2025, Homobono H. Gonzalez National High School held a seminar for its Grade 11 and 12 learners in support of the nationwide 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW). The campaign, which runs from November 25 to December 12, aims to raise awareness and promote action to end all forms of violence against women and children.

‎The event began at 7:00 AM with the registration of participants and the distribution of IEC materials. Students also watched an advocacy video promoting a “VAW-Free Community.”
‎
‎At 8:30 AM, the program started with an opening message from Principal Gilda A. Castañeda, who emphasized the importance of awareness, respect, and safety within the school.

School GAD Focal Person Miss Katherine Lucille C. Ocampo then explained the purpose of the national campaign. She opened her talk with a question that guided the rest of the program: “Why are we here today? Because we are joining this campaign to end Violence Against Women and Children.”

‎The keynote speaker, PCapt. Fatima I. Lanuza of the Libmanan Municipal Police Station, delivered an informative and eye-opening discussion. She explained the importance of laws such as RA 9262 and RA 11313, helping students understand how these laws protect victims and hold offenders accountable.

PCapt. Lanuza also discussed the different kinds of abuse—physical, mental, sexual, and psychological—and shared how the law responds to each form of violence. Her talk helped students understand not only the legal aspects but also the real-life impact of abuse.

‎Before ending the program, SHS Coordinator Ma'am Hidelita A. Dublan delivered a heartfelt and inspiring closing message. “Let us carry forward the lessons of this 18-Day Campaign into our homes, our schools, and our community. Let us be the voice for those who cannot speak, the strength for those who feel weak, and the light for those who live in fear,” she reminded everyone: ‎

‎As the event came to an end, the left students with a message to remember: “Change begins with us. When we choose empathy over silence, courage over fear, and action over indifference, we help build a future where every woman is safe, valued, and empowered.”

‎The program concluded with the awarding of certificates and a group photo with the speakers and working committees who made the event possible.
‎
‎Through the symposium, the HHGNHS Senior High School department continues to encourage its learners to become advocates of respect, safety, and equality.

𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗼 𝗛. 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘇 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗚𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗱 𝗦𝗶𝗸𝗹𝗮𝗯

With four distinct awards, HHGNHS was recognized in the 2025 Gawad Siklab & Cultural Night, highlighting the school's commitment to quality education, dedication to service and excellence. Held on August 6, 2025 at the TDC Hall, Capitol Complex in Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur, the awarding ceremony hosted by the Youth Formation Division of SDO Camarines Sur marked an additional milestone to the growing feats of Homobono H. Gonzalez National High School in recent years.

Ms. Mary Rose Anne R. Aureus, the school's SSLG Adviser for five years was hailed as Most Outstanding Teacher-Adviser for Youth Program Formation.

Headed by School Principal I Gilda A. Castañeda, Homobono H. Gonzalez National High School was recognized as Best Implementing School for Youth Program Formation in the province.

The Sentinel, the official school publication of HHGNHS, represented by its school paper adviser Mr. Jeuden L. Totanes, received the distinction of Outstanding School Club and Organization of SDO Camarines Sur.

Meanwhile, alumnus RJ T. Marcillana was awarded with Outstanding Youth Award as District President of SY 2022-2023.

These recognitions not only reflect the unwavering passion and hard work of the HHGNHS community but also inspire a continued pursuit of excellence, leadership, and meaningful impact in the years to come.

“LAGING HANDA”

IN PHOTOS: The Homobono H. Gonzalez National High School BSP and GSP contingent showed up with hearts aflame and unwavering commitment during the Civic Parade - BSP and GSP Competition held last July 22, 2025 in celebration of Libmanan’s 439th Town Fiesta.

The scouts of HHGNHS completed their venture, triumphing over the rain and the crowds. Supported by the school’s administration and teachers, the scouts of Homobono marched on with pride, carrying with them the ideals of scouting, in honor of the town’s festive celebrations.

Homobono H. Gonzalez NHS (HHGNHS) successfully celebrated Pride Month 2025, aligning with DepEd Order No. 32, s. 2017, which mandates gender-responsive education. The school's "Fabric of Freedom" themed celebration included a symposium, poster-making, essay writing, and impromptu public speaking contests. This initiative, spearheaded by HHGNHS GAD Chairperson and Principal-Ms. Gilda A. Castañeda, GAD Focal Person-Ms. Katherine Lucille C. Ocampo, Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG)- Adviser Mr. Van Arthemus D. Oriño, and SSLG officers led by Mr. Martin Ian N. Delos Reyes, demonstrates the school's commitment to recognizing the LGBTQIA+ community's contributions to inclusive basic education.
