On July 29, 2026, Pangasinan State University (PSU) Lingayen Campus held its 47th Commencement Exercises, celebrating the success of 2,133 new graduates as they reached the finish line of their academic path.
Dressed in their official Abaray, the batch of 2026 gathered alongside proud parents, university officials, faculty, and honored guests to mark a momentous transition from academic life into the professional world. The atmosphere across the campus grounds was filled with deep gratitude, joy, and triumph as thousands of PSUnians reflected on the years of hard work, perseverance, and sacrifices that led to this milestone.
Leading the ceremony, University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas delivered an inspiring address, challenging the fresh graduates to look beyond mere intellectual aptitude in an era increasingly dominated by rapid technological change, artificial intelligence, and intense global competition.
Dr. Galas underscored that while technical expertise is vital, true and lasting success rests on strong moral character, empathy, and service to humanity.

Adding significance to the momentous occasion, the ceremony was graced by the Pangunahing Pandangal, Commission on Audit (COA) Commissioner Atty. Douglas Michael N. Mallillin.
In his address to the graduating class, Atty. Mallillin emphasized the vital role of public accountability, ethical governance, and personal accountability as the graduates prepare to step into their professional roles across various sectors. He commended the graduates for their resilience and encouraged them to champion transparency, fairness, and excellence in all their future endeavors.
Campus Executive Director Dr. Marie Claire B. Briones also extended her warm congratulations to the graduating class, commending their endurance, grit, and dedication throughout their academic stay at the university, highlighting that their journey was forged through perseverance and shared community effort.
The conferment of degrees and distribution of diplomas symbolized both the culmination of their academic endeavor and the beginning of a noble responsibility. As the 2,133 graduates sang their alumni hymn in their Abaray, they stepped forward not only as degree-holders, but as principled leaders, innovators, and public servants ready to shape the future.
