Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus Extension Unit takes another step forward as they launch another extension project entitled "Project T.H.R.O.W" in Barangay Capandanan, Lingayen Pangasinan on May 2021.

The Project T.H.R.O.W stands for its very objective in Targeting Helpful Routines for an Organized Waste Management System.

The said extension program was participated by the empowered Education students under the programs: Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) major in Science who shared their knowledge on the Fundamentals of Solid Waste Management, Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) who lead the demonstration of upcycled items under "Proyekto Resiklo", the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) who also leads the demonstration of Rags Making out of old clothes, also from the programs of Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) major in Filipino and BSED major jn English who in part lead the training sessions on the Effective Information Dissemination and the BSED major in Social Studies who in turn discussed the Legal Awareness on the Ordinances implemented by the Local Government and the Republic Act pertaining to the responsibilities of individuals in proper waste management.

The program was spearheaded by Ms. Vladimir E. Cabutotan together with Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina, Dr. Amelita M. De Vera, and Dr. Celeste T. Mercado.

This extension takes place from March 2021 to December 2021 with a goal to provide training activities for proper solid waste management and recycling as a social response to ecological needs.

Note: Prior to the current situation and in stand of the health concerns, the training sessions were conducted via Zoom meeting with all the participants and involve individuals.

Earlier today, March 9, 2019 marks the Benchmarking Activity for the Extension Project of Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus entitled: "Women in Enterprise and Livelihood Development Training (Phase1) Poblacion, Lingayen, Pangasinan"— a 5-day training program that'll take place from the month of March to May of this year.

The extension activity is mandated by the Pangasinan State University to the stakeholders particularly the women, out-of-school youths, and the other people who cannot attend formal schooling. As this activity aims to serve as an avenue for the women and out-of-school youths to have the chance to undergo a free training that will eventuy give them the opportunity to start an enterprise.

In addition, faculties from the College of Education and Senior High School composed the set of trainers to conduct and assist the trainees.

The launching of this extension program and the start of the training will take place on the 11th of April 2019, while the 2nd and the 3rd day of training will be on April 23-24, 2019 and will be followed shortly by the 4th and last day of training on the 13th and 14th of May 2019 as it also marks the closing of the program.

Yesterday, March 17, 2021, the Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus Gender and Development Unit conducted an extension activity in partnership with the officials of Barangay Domalandan in Lingayen, Pangasinan.

The activity focused on the Lecture on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment and Forum on Magna Carta of Women. The activity was led by Dr. Presley V. De Vera, Coordinator for Gender and Development (GAD), together with the members if the Campus GAD Council. Furthermore, twenty-five (25) participants actively attended the activity in which the majority are among the barangay officials and barangay health workers.

[LOOK] : On April 15, 2018 marks the opening and the start of the Meat Processing Project initiated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development in partnership with Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus.

This project is a program under the Skills Training on Micro-enterprise Development Project on Sustainable Livelihood Program in the province of Pangasinan.
The target of this project are the beneficiaries of 4P's wherein they were assisted to learn and acquire skills they needed in starting their productive endeavors of producing.

The program was held at Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus and was piloted by the Campus Executive Director, Dr. Ruby Rosa Cruz, Coordinator, Mr. Potenciano Conte Jr. and Prof. Jeseline R. Earlier this year, on the month of February, the Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus launched one of its flagship extension services under the program title of "Tekno-Tulong Dunong para ed Barangay Naguilayan" in where different programs such as Commercial Cooking leading to Cookery NCII, Basic Computer Operations and Maintenance leading to Computer Systems Servicing NCII,Basic Welding leading to Shielded Metal Arc Welding NCII, Motorcycle and Small Engine Tune-up leading to Automotive Servicing NCII, Building Wiring leading to Electrical Installation and Maintenance NCII, Simple Appliance Repair and Maintenance leading to Electronic Products and Appliance Servicing NCII, and T-Shirt Printing leading to Visual Graphics Design NCII are taught as livelihood programs for the residents of the barangay particularly the indigent families and the member of 4P's.

The said extension program was implemented under the College of Technology headed by the program leader Dr. Jeff G. Pereyras together with BTVTED program and in cooperation with the Barangay Naguilayan Council headed by its Barangay Captain Don Salvador C. Cerezo.

The program lasted until the 30th day of May 2018 at Barangay Naguilayan, Binmaley, Pangasinan.

On November 17, 2017, marks the start of the "Women in Enterprise Development Cum Training on Literacy and Social Issues". This said program is spearheaded by the College of Education which were supported by other agency partners such as the Barangay Council of Wawa, TESDA-PSAT, DOH-Lingayen Health Unit II, Lingayen Municipal Police Station and JCI Bagoong with the participation of the empowered Education Organizations such as Kapisanan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Filipino (KAMFIL), Kapisanan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Araling Panlipunan (KMAP), Association of Future English Teachers (AFET), Organization of Future Teachers in Technology and Livelihood Education (OFTTLE), Association of TechVoc Teacher Education Students (ATTES) and JJC PSU Golden Lions.

The "Women in Enterprise Development Cum Training on Literacy and Social Issues" Program aims to encourage, empower and engage women in their respective barangays as we help them enhance their skills through different livelihood and skills training. This program operates as well under the Adopt-a-Barangay Project of PSU Lingayen Campus Extension Unit.

On October 20, 2017, the Techno-Tulong parad Eskuwelaan was launched by the Capandanan Elementary School Principal, Dr. Nancy J. Decena together with the Capandanan Barangay Council headed by Punong Barangay Isagani B. De Leon in where they have requested assistance from the College of Technology and BTVTEd program regarding the up keeping and beautification of the school and their facilities. In response, the College Technology and the College of Education willingly shared knowledge and expertise particularly under the specialization of Ceramics Technology, Drafting Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology and Civil Technology.

In an effort to adhere to its duty of empowering the community, the Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus continues to conduct livelihood and skills training among the community-folks. On the month of October in year 2016, the Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus Extension Unit through the programs: Bachelor of Technical - Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd), Bachelor of Secondary Education ( BSEd ) conducted a training entitled, " Women in Enterprise Development Training" in Barangay Capandanan, Lingayen, Pangasinan in where it lasted 'till December of 2016.

The said training was conceived as a part of the Adopt-a-Barangay Project of the PSU Lingayen Campus Extension program that aims to provide livelihood and skill training for the marginalized members of the barangay — the women.

On April 27, 2016 students, faculty and non-teaching personnel of Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus carry mangrove propagules, bamboo stick, and tarpaulin as they move farther the Limahong Channel in Capandanan, Lingayen, Pangasinan for the mangrove tree-planting project.

This mangrove tree-planting extension project carries the theme: "Pangkalikasang Suporta sa Umuunlad na Lingayen". Aside from Barangay Capandanan, mangrove tree-planting activities are recurring as well at the coastal areas of Barangay Naguilayan in Binmaley, Pangasinan.

In support to the Tree Planting Campaign the College of Technology BIT program and the College of Education BTVTED/BTTE program which is actively assisted by the BIT and BTTE students major in Drafting Technology spearheaded the printing of more than 3,000 campaign tshirt for FREE!
