Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus Extension Unit takes another step forward as they launch another extension project entitled "Project T.H.R.O.W" in Barangay Capandanan, Lingayen Pangasinan on May 2021.
The Project T.H.R.O.W stands for its very objective in Targeting Helpful Routines for an Organized Waste Management System.
The said extension program was participated by the empowered Education students under the programs: Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) major in Science who shared their knowledge on the Fundamentals of Solid Waste Management, Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) who lead the demonstration of upcycled items under "Proyekto Resiklo", the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) who also leads the demonstration of Rags Making out of old clothes, also from the programs of Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) major in Filipino and BSED major jn English who in part lead the training sessions on the Effective Information Dissemination and the BSED major in Social Studies who in turn discussed the Legal Awareness on the Ordinances implemented by the Local Government and the Republic Act pertaining to the responsibilities of individuals in proper waste management.
The program was spearheaded by Ms. Vladimir E. Cabutotan together with Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina, Dr. Amelita M. De Vera, and Dr. Celeste T. Mercado.
This extension takes place from March 2021 to December 2021 with a goal to provide training activities for proper solid waste management and recycling as a social response to ecological needs.
Note: Prior to the current situation and in stand of the health concerns, the training sessions were conducted via Zoom meeting with all the participants and involve individuals.
