The Department of Architecture at the University of Batangas Lipa City officially unveils the Top 10 Outstanding Theses of the BS Architecture Batch 4. Following the intensive Final Thesis Deliberations held on April 6, 7, and 8, 2026, these works emerged not just as academic requirements, but as blueprints for the future of the built environment.
Over three days of rigorous intellectual exchange, 32 distinguished guest architects from various UAP Chapters joined our esteemed faculty to serve as jurors.
Together, they bore witness to a masterclass in design brilliance, critiquing projects that push the boundaries of spatial innovation and social impact.
These ten featured theses serve as a monument to the grit and vision of our graduating class. Each project explores the vital intersection of form and function, addressing the global need for:
1. Resilient Urbanism: Structures built to withstand the tests of time and nature.
2. Sustainable Ecosystems: Designs that breathe with the environment, not against it.
3. Forward-Thinking Communities: Spaces that foster human connection and progress.
This milestone is the culmination of relentless dedication, fostered under the strategic leadership and mentorship of our academic pillars:
Engr. Joan Maralit Villanueva, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture;
Ar. Manolo Merhan, Program Head of the Department of Architecture; and
Ar. Gerelson Ray Bernardino, Chair of the Thesis Council & Arch 5C Adviser, along with council members:
Ar. Ronald Allan Gunda, Arch 5A Adviser, and
Ar. Lucy Redobante - Lizardo, Arch 5B Adviser.
