The NU Lipa Medical Technology Department conducts the “Give Blood, Save Lives: Mass Blood Donation Drive” in partnership with The Medical City South Luzon Blood Bank Unit and Transfusion Services to promote voluntary blood donation, strengthen community involvement, and help maintain an adequate blood supply for patients in need.

The activity also provides 3rd Year Medical Technology students with valuable exposure to current blood banking and transfusion service practices, reinforcing the importance of safe blood donation and transfusion medicine in healthcare.

Through initiatives like this, the NU Lipa Medical Technology Department continues to uphold its commitment to healthcare excellence, service, and compassion for the community. 💙

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐊𝐀𝐍𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐍: 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐍𝐔 𝐋𝐢𝐩𝐚 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧-𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐝

The 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐍𝐔 𝐋𝐢𝐩𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 recently spent a meaningful day with the elderly through a community outreach program in partnership with the 𝐓𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐩𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Moving beyond the laboratory, the PHISMETS dedicated their time to fostering kindness and care—creating a safe and warm space or 𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘯 for the residents. This initiative, anchored on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), gave these future Medical Laboratory Scientists the chance to serve with compassion and support the well-being of our community’s elders.

Through simple conversations, shared laughter, and heartfelt moments, the chapter showed that service can go beyond medical practice. Sometimes, being present, listening, and making someone feel remembered is already a big act of care. The smiles exchanged that day reminded everyone that small acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact.

By sharing love, respect, and understanding, the chapter highlighted the importance of social responsibility and inclusivity. Through 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐊𝐀𝐍𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐍, PHISMETS continues to connect healthcare education with community service, making sure that the wisdom of the golden-aged is valued and their stories continue to inspire.

On April 30, 2026, the 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀’ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 convened, bringing together Medical Laboratory Science students to unite in advocacy for their purpose and shared visions for the profession's sustainability.

The event featured a diverse array of activities, highlighted by an inspirational keynote from 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘅 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝘆, 𝗥𝗠𝗧, who shared profound insights gained from his challenges and triumphs within the field. The atmosphere was further elevated by a polished and compelling performance from the 𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗪 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆.
Representing 𝗡𝗨 𝗟𝗶𝗽𝗮, our 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 showcased their talents in the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗞𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀𝗼𝗸 dance competition and the 𝗠𝗿. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 pageant, successfully securing multiple awards.
