Here is the next cut-off date for the submission of protocols to be included in the REB monthly meetings.

❗❗ Please be advised that there are 𝐧𝐨 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

Only 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄 applications (as verified by the UPLB REB Secretariat) 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 the monthly submission cut-off date will be accepted for review.

Given this, we highly encourage you to 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐮𝐭-𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞.

On 11 September 2026, the UPLB Research Ethics Board, led by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒. 𝐋𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐨 (Chair) and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐑𝐨𝐱𝐲 𝐌. 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐠 (REB Coordinator), together with 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐏. 𝐃𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧 (Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension), welcomed officials from 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (RSU) for a benchmarking activity.

The activity aimed to provide the RSU delegation with insights into the Board’s organizational structure, policies, and operational practices, while also facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices in research ethics review.
