The Philippine Agriculture and Economic Development Association (PAEDA) conducted its national meeting and the oath-taking ceremony of the recently elected PAEDA-BOD members on February 27, 2025, at the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna.

Here are the newly-elected PAEDA-BOD for the CY 2025-2027:

1. President: Dr. Antonio P. Abamo (Visayas State University)
2. Vice President: Ms. Meliza Abeleda ( Socio-Economics Research Division-PCAARRD)
3. Secretary: Dr. Aileen Lapitan (University of the Philippines Los Baños)
4. Treasurer: Dr. Moises Neil Seriño (Visayas State University )
5. Auditor: Dr. Nico Jayson Anastacio (University of the Philippines Los Baños)

Board Members:
1. Dr. Pedro Alviola (University of the Philippines Mindanao)
2. Dr. Ernesto Brown (Socio-Economics Research Division-PCAARRD)
3. Dr. Lemuel Preciados (Visayas State University)

LOOK: The participants of the 52nd Philippine Agriculture and Economic Development Association (PAEDA) National Conference had a tour around the Visayas State University (VSU) campus and its research centers on December 5, 2024.

Some of the research centers they visited were the National Coconut Research Center (NCRC), National Abaca Research Center (NARC), Philippine Root Crop Research and Training Center (PhilRootcrops), and Philippine Carabao Center (PCC).

This tour is offered to participants who attended on-site to showcase various initiatives and accomplishments of the university.
