Our Alumni Fellow, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐙𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐣𝐚, conducted a two-day training for the OVCPD/UPMO Technical Staff on September 29–30 at ICOPED.

Entitled “𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆: 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔,” the training aims to strengthen knowledge and practices in structural engineering and project management toward more resilient and disaster-prepared infrastructure.

The grant was formally turned over on September 15, 2026, providing valuable assistance toward the student’s thesis and research expenses.

Your generosity helps lighten the demands of thesis season and allows our future civil engineers to focus on what they do best—researching, designing, and building ideas into something that stands.

📖 PICE-UAE Supports Future Civil Engineers Through Thesis Grant

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – United Arab Emirates Chapter (PICE-UAE), through the initiative of Engr. Hyacynth D.L. Gonzales, extended a Thesis Support Grant to a student beneficiary under the CEAT Adopt-a-Student Program of the College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (CEAT), University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).

The grant was formally turned over on 15 September 2026, providing financial support to help ease the student’s thesis expenses and support the completion of their undergraduate research.

This initiative reflects PICE-UAE’s continuing commitment to education, mentorship, and empowering the next generation of civil engineers.

Investing in students today, building the engineers of tomorrow.
