AutoMATHic AutoMATHic is a national intercollegiate engineering mathematics quiz contest by the University of the Philippines Civil Engineering Society (UPCES). Engr.

AutoMATHic is an intercollegiate engineering mathematics quiz contest hosted by the University of the Philippines Civil Engineering Society (UPCES) in collaboration with the UPLB Department of Engineering Science (DES) and the UPLB Mathematics Division of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Physics (IMSP). The main idea of the activity is to provide a venue for engineering students to test

their mathematical skills against their peers to improve the quality of Mathematics education, especially among engineering schools. UPCES recognizes that a solid mathematical background is vital to engineering success. AutoMATHic was first held in August 2000 as part of the 7th anniversary of UPCES. Batangas State University (BatStateU) emerged as the champion among 12 higher educational institutions from CALABARZON that participated in the first edition of AutoMATHic. Despite the event's success, UPCES did not continue the activity in the next few years due to different priorities and programs of the organization. In 2009, UPCES organized an educational roadshow for engineering students in BSU as one of its activities during UPCES Month. The organizers of the said roadshow saw a trophy of AutoMATHic 2000 proudly displayed on the trophy shelf of the university. Cristina Rosales, an Engineering faculty of BSU and an UPCES alumna, suggested that AutoMATHic be revived because of its many positive aspects. Hence, after almost one decade, in April 2010, UPCES decided to add AutoMATHic to its roster of activities. The 2011 edition was a great success, which was participated by 44 teams from 25 universities and colleges from all over the country. The University of the Philippines Diliman emerged as the champion of the 2011 edition of AutoMATHic. Due to the overwhelming success of AutoMATHic 2011, UPCES decided to continue with the hosting of the event. UPCES aims to make AutoMATHic its yearly major event.

Last February 7, the long-awaited 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗶𝗰 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 shook the ground as 66 teams from across the nation gathered to test their wit and will. Among these, three teams carved their names into the sand.

𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 - 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 - 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗔 surged ahead as the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗨𝗽, and 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 - 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗼𝘀 - 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗔 held strong as 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗨𝗽 and the 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺.
