Students from the College of Economics and Management (CEM), under the UPLB Department of Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship (DAME), continue to demonstrate excellence, competitiveness, and global readiness as Team Nexus emerged as the National Champion of the HSBC Philippines Business Case Competition.
Competing against top universities from across the country, the team showcased exceptional critical thinking, strategic business analysis, teamwork, and presentation skills—proving that CEM and DAME students are equipped to thrive in high-pressure, real-world business environments.
This achievement reflects the strong academic foundation and holistic training provided by CEM and DAME, where students are nurtured to become analytical thinkers, innovative problem-solvers, and future leaders in business and entrepreneurship.
Through a learning environment that values collaboration, industry relevance, and experiential learning, students are challenged to apply classroom knowledge to real-world issues—preparing them to compete not only nationally but also on the international stage.
Their victory has earned the honor of representing the Philippines at the prestigious HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Competition this June in Hong Kong. As they prepare to carry the Philippine flag, Team Nexus exemplifies the caliber, determination, and excellence that define the CEM and DAME community.
