UP College of Veterinary Medicine Library

UP College of Veterinary Medicine Library CVM/ADSC Library is housed inside the CVM-ADSC Communal Building, UPLB Campus. The computer room & librarian’s office are also located in this floor.

CVM/ADSC library, the largest and only modern veterinary library in the country with the most extensive collection of 18,101 volumes of scientific & refereed journals, books, monographs, graduate & undergraduate theses, audio-visuals & special collection. It has 364.25 m2 ground floor and 345 m2 mezzanine floors, both functional and with a total sitting capacity of 100 persons. The circulation/res

erve books, journals and periodicals , theses & Filipiniana sections are in the ground floor; while the audiovisuals & parasitology reference collections together are in the mezzanine floor. Some of the college memorabilia particularly photos of the first Filipino (1911) & Filipina (1933) veterinarians; college alumni roster (1914-present) & paintings of alumni are displayed in the library walls. The library caters to the reference & information needs of CVM/ADSC & other U.P. students, faculty & researchers. Aside from veterinarians & experts in animal science, researchers in related fields (zoologists, taxonomists, pharmacologists, etc.) from several institutions in the country are also among the library clientele.
