𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐲𝐨𝐧

Bilang bahagi ng aming panata sa paglilingkod sa bayan, ang U.P. Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. (Central) ay magsasagawa ng Libreng Konsultasyong Legal sa darating na Ika-14 ng Marso, 2026 (Sabado), sa ganap na 9:00 ng umaga. Ito ay gaganapin sa Daycare Center ng Brgy. Batong Malake, Los Baños, Laguna.

Ang inisyatibong ito ay katuwang ang U.P. Beta Sigma Fraternity – Los Baños Chapter at Brgy. Batong Malake, sa pakikipagtulungan ng MRPP Law Firm at Madrid Danao & Associates Law Firm.

Magkakaroon ng mga volunteer na abogado upang magbigay ng gabay sa mga usaping may kaugnayan sa:

- Criminal Law (Batas Krimen)
- Civil Law (Batas Sibil)
- Administrative Law (Batas Administratibo)

Inaanyayahan ang mga residente ng Brgy. Batong Malake at mga karatig-lugar na dumalo sa nasabing aktibidad.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐏𝐋𝐁 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐚 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐬 gathered at BGC for a milestone meeting. Joining us were former DENR Secretary 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐣𝐞, Big Brother's Bounty Chairman 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐝 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬, and Frameworks Advisor 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐨 for a dialogue.

Together, we finalized our 𝟐-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚 focused on growing a 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝, ensuring 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, and fostering 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 across all generations of Beta Sigmans.

With this, the Board of Trustees calls for a 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 meeting for all Brothers this coming 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟏 𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐬 𝐁𝐚ñ𝐨𝐬. Additional details will be announced and you may contact the Board Secretary 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐝 𝐊𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐧 for questions. Cheers!

TAMA NA, SOBRA NA, PALITAN NA!

Sa ika-40 na anibersaryo ng EDSA People Power Revolution, ginugunita natin ang tapang ng sambayanang nagkaisa upang wakasan ang diktadura at igiit ang demokrasya. Ang diwa ng EDSA ay kalayaan: kalayaang magsalita nang walang takot, manindigan para sa katotohanan, at pumili ng mas makatarungang bukas.

Apatnapung taon na ang lumipas, ngunit nananatiling hamon ang pagtatanggol sa kalayaang ito sa harap ng patuloy na pang aabuso, katiwalian, at pagbaluktot sa kasaysayan. Kung may malinaw na aral ang EDSA, ito ay ang katotohanang ang demokrasya ay hindi minamana at hindi kusang nananatili. Nasa atin ang pananagutan na makialam, manindigan, at kumilos upang matiyak na hindi na muling mananaig ang pang aapi.

6 years have passed, yet the wound remains open. We remember our Brother, Randy Felix P. Malayao, whose life was taken in an act of cowardly violence while he slept, defenseless, on his way home. His death was not random. It was the silencing of a patriot who chose peace over fear, justice over comfort, and service over safety.

Brod Randy dedicated his life to the struggle for human rights and genuine peace. As a peace consultant to the National Democratic Front of the Philippines and an active member of SELDA–Northern Luzon, he stood firmly against repression, militarization, and systemic abuse. He carried no criminal charges, only convictions rooted in the belief that a just and lasting peace is possible if we confront the roots of injustice. For this, he was hunted and killed.

We condemn this act as cruel, unjust, and inhuman. Brod Randy fought for the oppressed, spoke for the silenced, and walked alongside the marginalized. He paid the ultimate price under a regime that fears dissent and truth. But his death did not end the struggle. It sharpened it.

Today, we honor him not only in memory, but in resolve. Brod Randy embodies all that is Good and Noble in Man. His faith, hope, and courage live on in every Betan who refuses to forget and refuses to be silent. We now carry the torch he left behind. We will persist. We will resist. We will continue the fight for justice and peace.

Betans will never forget our martyrs.

The new Board brings together alumni leaders spanning five decades representing diverse sectors including government agencies, multinational corporations, entrepreneurship, and academia. The Board has outlined a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝘄𝗼-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗽 focusing on key organizational priorities and 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

The UP Los Baños Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association represents over 1,600 alumni across the Philippines and abroad, with members holding leadership positions in government, industry, agriculture, technology, and various professional sectors.

𝐀 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄, 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐓.

From health missions and education support to youth programs and environmental action, this year reflected the true spirit of U.P. Beta Sigma Fraternity. Thousands of lives were touched through medical outreach, UPCAT assistance, disaster response, community service, academic excellence, and national-level representation. Across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, Betans stood firm in their commitment to serve with integrity, purpose, and brotherhood.

As we close this chapter, we honor every brother, partner, and community who made these milestones possible. This Year in Review is not just a record of achievements; it is a reminder of who we are and what we stand for. The work continues. The mission remains. The brotherhood grows stronger with every step forward.
