We are pleased to welcome Dr. Mario G. Andrada of the National Food Authority (NFA) as the keynote speaker at iCEAT 2026!

Dr. Andrada is the Department Manager of the Corporate Planning and Management Services Department of the NFA. He earned his PhD in Grain Science and MS in Agronomy from Kansas State University, USA, and a BS in Agronomy from De La Salle–Araneta University. He was also a Fulbright-Philippines Agriculture Scholar.

Throughout his career, Dr. Andrada has led research on hybrid rice, milled rice recovery, stored-product pest management, and wet-milled corn products and by-products. He has contributed to international conference proceedings and delivered numerous invited talks and research presentations. His recognitions include the U.S. Borlaug Fellowship–Global Food Security Award, NFA Outstanding Employee awards, and research and presentation awards from the Bureau of Agricultural Research. He has also contributed to the development of standards for paddy and milled rice and currently serves as Vice-Chairperson of the Sub-Committee for Cereals, Pulses, and Legumes under Philippine CODEX.
