On May 22, 2026, the Philippine Association of Food Technologists - Beta Chapter officially inducted the 50th Executive Committee, alongside Batch Levain and Batch Saffron, marking the start of a journey illuminated by purpose, passion, and service.

Much like the summer solstice, which symbolizes a season of light, growth, and new beginnings, the induction marks the dawn of an exciting chapter of leadership and service for our inductees.

Minsan, hindi natin namamalayan na habang tayo ay abalang lumaki at hanapin ang ating lugar sa mundo, mayroong isang taong tahimik na nagmamasid—pinapanood tayo sa ating tagumpay at pagkadapa, habang hindi natin napapansin unti-unti nang nagkakaroon ng mga guhit ang kanyang mukha at pumuputi ang kanyang buhok.

Siya ang unang sasalo kapag tayo’y madapa, ang unang mag-aabot ng balikat kapag tayo’y nanghihina, at ang magiging panangga kapag kailangan natin. Ang may pagmamahal na hindi laging nagsasabi, ngunit ramdam sa mga tahimik na sakripisyo at simpleng presensya.

As the academic year drew to a close, the second semester brought its own set of challenges. From demanding coursework and countless deadlines to the responsibility of balancing academics and organizational commitments, the journey was definitely far from easy. 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲, 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲

Far-flung communities are often the last to receive assistance during disasters, leaving many without access to communication and essential services. For many families, staying connected can mean faster rescue, relief, and recovery.

Through Bangon Mindanao Network, we aim to provide 14 portable solar-powered charging stations to vulnerable barangays in General Santos City. These devices will be deployed to provide reliable source of power for communication and emergency coordination when communities need it most.

With a fundraising goal of ₱70,000, we can help ensure that communities remain connected during emergencies and recovery efforts.
Every contribution brings us closer to a more resilient and disaster-ready Mindanao.

More than just a colorful ingredient, ube or purple yam is an important part of Filipino food culture and identity. From ube halaya and ice cream to cakes, pastries, and even drinks, this humble root crop continues to bring comfort and creativity to Filipino kitchens.

Ube is appreciated not only for its unique flavor but also for its value to local farmers and the food industry. Its growing popularity around the world shows how Filipino food is gaining recognition beyond our shores. At the same time, as ube becomes more trendy and commercialized, it is important to remember and celebrate its roots as a staple ingredient that has long been part of Filipino households and traditions.
