Sa 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗸𝗮, ipinagdiriwang natin ang mga nagmumunting bayani ng ating lipunan—ang mga pangunahing tagapagtaguyod ng ating seguridad sa pagkain, ang mga nangangalaga sa likas na yaman ng bayan, at ang dahilan kung bakit may masustansiya at sariwang pagkain sa hapag-kainan ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino.

Ating pasalamatan at bigyang-pugay ang kanilang pagsisikap, tiyaga, at sakripisyo para sa sektor ng agrikultura at pagkain sa pamamagitan ng pagsuporta sa kanilang kabuhayan at pakikibaka sa kanilang mga adhikain para sa lupa, makatarungang kita, at sapat na puhunan.

‘Di hamak na sila ang pundasyon ng ating bansa. Kaya’t ating tandaan na tangkilikin ang lokal na sariwang ani at mga produktong agrikultural—hindi lamang para sa ating mga magsasaka, kundi bilang pagpapakita rin ng ating pakikiisa.

Busog na, pero may tira pa? 𝙏𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙣 𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙤, 𝙩𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙣 𝙙𝙤𝙤𝙣. 🗑️

Today, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟗, we commemorate the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 which is a global observance led by the United Nations to remind us that every piece of food we waste has an environmental, economic, and social cost. It also supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12.3, which aims to reduce food waste and food losses throughout the supply chain by 2030. ♻️

As 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, we have the opportunity to make a difference through this advocacy. Beyond developing better ways to preserve, process, package, and store food, we can also help give new life to what many of us consider "waste." Through research, by-products such as 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬, 𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐞 have been shown to contain valuable compounds like antioxidants and dietary fiber, allowing them to be transformed into functional food ingredients instead of ending up in the trash. These innovations not only reduce waste but also 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.

Because today, we celebrate our one and only Ayanna Pauline ng Batch Stelline! ⭐️

From UHS resident na every week umaakyat dun 🏃‍♀️, to the 10 PM “sana magkabebe na ako”🤭, our certified dog lover 🐶, kare-kare enthusiast 🥘, at ngayon ay big girl na nagsimula nang mag-T word 👀💀

Still the same Ayanna na 24/7 open ang rant hotline, laging may chika, at never nauubusan ng pogi na isesend sa TikTok 😉.

And since today is your day, “tonight, we gon’ be it on the floor” alam na this🕺💃
