The 𝑼𝑷𝑳𝑩 𝑺𝒊𝒈𝒎𝒂 𝑨𝒍𝒑𝒉𝒂 𝑺𝒐𝒓𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 🌸 joined the annual Loyalty Day Parade on October 10, 2026, in celebration of the 108th Loyalty Day of the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

The Loyalty Day became a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with our beloved alum sisses, look back on fond memories of our sorority, and share laughter and stories over a simple get-together made even more special by their company.👯‍♀️

Sa bawat bahagi ng lipunan, makikita ang kababaihang buong pusong iniaalay ang kanilang talino at lakas upang maging masaya, itaguyod ang sariling pangangailangan, at makibahagi sa pagkamit ng kalayaan ng lipunan.

Sa kanayunan, may babaeng nagmamahal sa kanyang lupa, sakahan, at sa pagkaing maaari nitong maibigay sa kanyang pamilya at sa sambayanang Pilipino. Ngunit hindi niya ito lubusang makamit dahil patuloy na kinakamkam ang lupang kanyang sinasaka. Hanggang ngayon, umiiral pa rin ang sistemang mala pyudal at mala kolonyal, at hindi kailanman maihihiwalay ang kalagayan ng kababaihang magbubukid sa kalagayang ito. Makikita ito sa patuloy na bisa ng Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) na pagpapahirap ng pamamahagi at pagpapanatili ng kanilang karapatan sa lupa. Sa halip na matiyak ang pangmatagalang pagmamay-ari ng mga magsasaka, nananatili ang pangamba na muli silang mawalan ng lupang kanilang binubungkal. Napakatagal ipagkaloob sa mga pangunahing pwersa ang tunay na reporma sa lupa, ngunit napakabilis namang ibenta ang lupa para sa mga mapanirang proyektong dayuhan katulad ng Pax Silica.

Sa kanayunan, ang babae ay parang lupa na patuloy na inaapi at inaabuso. Kasabay ng patuloy na pangangamkam ng lupa ay ang pambobomba sa mga komunidad, pangha-harass, pagsasampa ng mga gawa-gawang kaso, at ilegal na pag-aresto sa mga lider at organisador ng mga magbubukid. Ang pagpasok at paglaganap ng Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) sites at iba pang presensya ng militar din ang pangunahing sanhi ng abusong pisikal at sekswal sa kababaihan at kabataan sa kanayunan.

Hindi na bago ang patong-patong na pasan ng mga kababaihang magbubukid sa kahirapan, at pagsasamantala. Higit pa rito, hinaharap din nila ang kulturang macho-pyudal na nagtatakda ng mga gawaing itinuturing na “pangbabae”. Habang inaasahan na itaguyod ang kaayusan ng tahanan mag isa matapos ang trabaho. Ang ganitong kaisipan ay nag-uugat sa diskriminasyon sa kababaihang magbubukid at nagiging dahilan upang mas mababa ang kanilang sahod kumpara sa kalalakihan, sa kabila ng kanilang mahalagang ambag sa produksyon ng pagkain at sa kabuhayan ng kanilang pamilya.

Naniniwala ang 𝐔𝐏 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐩𝐡𝐚 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 - 𝐋𝐨𝐬 𝐁𝐚ñ𝐨𝐬 na ang babae bilang mahalagang bahagi ng lipunang ay may kakayahang maging mahusay sa iba’t ibang larangan ng gawain, lalo na sa kababaihan ng kanayunan. Kaya sa paggunita ng 𝗕𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗣𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲 at 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘆𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻, patuloy nating isulong ang laban para sa tunay na repormang agraryo, wakasan ang kolonyal na pangangamkam ng lupa, at panagutan ang abuso sa kababaihang magbubukid.
