Last Friday, May 8th, the UP Chi Epsilon Sorority had continued their every semester project, CE Cares—an activity held by the sorority to aid the students, staff, and their stomachs as they trudge through the hell week. The event was held by the Main Library entrance, catering to 100 students, giving out lugaw, biscuits and coffee.

We hope to continue this small and grounded activity until the next semesters to come, and are wishing everyone a fruitful end of the school year to everyone. We would also like to thank the Main Library staff, for being very accommodating, guiding us in every step in preparing for this event. Thank you for your continued support, iskxs! Ngayong araw ay nakalaan sa pagkilala at pagpupugay sa ating mga kapwa manggagawa, mga militante, at mga tagapagtaguyod ng ating bayan. Sa ilalim ng mapaniil na estado, ang padiriwang na ito ay isang oportunidad upang mabigyang pansin ang kanilang mga paghihirap at karanasan. Isang pagdadakila sa bawat isa sa kanila ay nararapat, lalo’t higit na dahil sa kanilang mga mabibigat na pasanin sa araw araw.

Empower, and be empowered.

Todays marks as a celebration for the strength and prowess that all the women in the world possesses. In lieu of the current issues and targeted attacks against women, may today serve as a reminder to everyone that us women, deserve to be treated better, as autonomous human beings every day, not only when it is convenient, and not only for a specific day.

In a constant, day-to-day battle of sexism and misogyny, those remarks that we choose to just brush off for the convenience of others, may we all get reminded of the reason why Women's Month even got to be established and celebrated.

In honor of those who use their voices, even those who are in positions of incapability of doing so, today, we celebrate you. The diversity and inclusivity that is innate in all of us. Every woman's voice, dream, and tenacity improved the world by breaking barriers and shaping the future. Happy International Women's Day!

Today, we commemorate the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution. A day that marked the movement which have ended the oppressive Marcos regime, a two-decade tyranny ran by Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

Due to the vicious cycle of brain washing of the masses, declining literacy rate, and prevalent spread of fake news, we are still again subjected to the ruling of another Marcos. In an oppressive governing state, we, as resident members of the UP Chi Epsilon Sorority, students of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, and as citizens of the Philippine country, condemn the Marcos regime, and recognize the social, cultural, and political impact that the EDSA People Power Revolution had imposed on our country. That 40 years ago, our people had roamed the streets with the message and hope of a new beginning, to be free from the shackles of dictatorial state.

Last December 6, 2025, UP Chi Epsilon Sorority and UP Epsilon Chi Fraternity, alongside the Autism Society Philippines, came together to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities through the Bulilit Community Caravan.

More than an event, this Family Day was a heartfelt gathering, one that brought families together to share joy, understanding, and compassion. In the spirit of the Christmas season, we aimed to spread kindness, promote inclusion, and create a safe space where every child is seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are.

Our deepest appreciation to the Autism Society Philippines for their invaluable support and partnership. Your dedication and advocacy were instrumental in making the Bulilit Community Caravan and Family Day a meaningful and impactful celebration. Through your guidance and commitment, we were able to create a welcoming space filled with joy, learning, and inclusion for the families we served.

Together, we continue to advocate for acceptance, empowerment, and hope for every individual.
