To the educators who carry the name of teaching with honor, protect its dignity with integrity, and shape the future by passing its values on to generations they inspire.

To those who speak up for truth, giving voice to what must be heard and courage to what must be changed.

This World Teachers’ Day, we honor the theme, “Standing with teachers: 60 years of protecting the profession, advancing its status, and shaping our futures.”

As we honor teachers, may education continue to move beyond what has been, toward all that may yet become.

Behind every older person is a lifetime of stories waiting to be heard. Stories of love, sacrifice, loss, resilience, and moments that shaped the lives we know today. Within their stories, they preserve the history of generations, a history worth remembering before it fades away.

Have we taken the time to listen? To sit beside them, ask about their lives, and remind them that their stories still matter?

Age should never erase a person’s purpose. Every year lived is a chapter of a story, and every life deserves to be lived with dignity.

As we celebrate the United Nations’ International Day of Older Persons under the theme “The Age of Longevity: Rethinking Systems for Longer Lives,” may this remind us that personal change can contribute to a collective movement toward better systems and better lives.

So…what was beyond that door? 👀🚪

You found us! 🤗 And what a joy it was to have you step into our humble abode.🏡

Last September 15, we shared an evening of stories, laughter, games, and a little whimsy with all of you. More than just an orientation, it was a beautiful chance for us to open our doors, share a piece of who we are, and get to know the faces behind the names we had been waiting to meet.

And for that evening, our home felt a little more special with you in it. We’re so glad you found your way to us!

𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘆𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟭, 𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟮 – limang dekada na ang lumipas nang ipataw ni Marcos Sr. ang Martial Law sa Pilipinas; isang panahon na nakaukit bilang isa sa mga madilim na bahagi ng ating kasaysayan. Maraming dugo ang dumanak sa kalsada, mga katawan na nakahandusay sa bawat eskinita, mga pamilyang naiwang wasak, masang kumakalam ang sikmura, at mga desaparecidos na hindi na lumitaw.

As we welcome the new Executive Committee, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the previous Executive Committee of A.Y. 2025–2026 for their time, dedication, and love for UPHFDSOC. 🤗

This embrace captures more than just a moment. It holds the laughter, never-ending crashouts, K-Go late-night debriefs 😆, and countless memories 😁🤲 that made their journey together meaningful. Through every high and low, they had one another to lean on—reminding us that HFDSOC has always been more than an organization. 🏠🩵 It is a Home built by the people who choose to be there for one another.
