Since its recognition in 2003, The Parliament has been continuously pursuing excellence as the only debate organization in UPLB, attaining exemplary accomplishments by excelling in debate tournaments inside and outside the country.

πŸ›οΈ The Parliament concludes its UADC prep season at the Dialectica Pre-UADC, hosted online by Dialectica on May 23–24 β€” the last major prep tournament before the real battle begins at the Bali United Asians Debating Championship 2026 this June!

🎀 Addie Macayan, Erin Lancin, and Rsean Gueco broke into the Open Octofinals as the 10th Breaking Team, with Erin Lancin capping off her impressive rookie season by claiming the title of Overall Best Novice Speaker of the tournament

✏️ Miko del Rosario served as an Invited Adjudicator, presiding over the Open Semifinals and Novice Semifinals with his characteristic sharpness

✏️ Lia Denise Tan also lent her expertise as an Invited Adjudicator, adding her voice to the tournament's high-level panels

πŸ›οΈ The Parliament congratulates its members for their impressive performances at the VIT Pre-UADC 2026, hosted online by the VIT Debate Society on May 16–17.

🎀 Issa Alvarez, Ranz Albor, and Loi Rolloque competed as a team, breaking as the 2nd Reserve Breaking Team, narrowly missing the outrounds but showcasing strong teamwork and potential

✏️ Miko del Rosario delivered an outstanding adjudication performance, serving as Open Grand Final Judge, Novice Final Chair, and Invited Adjudicator β€” ultimately earning the title of Best Invited Adjudicator of the tournament.

✏️ Ken Singson also contributed his sharp judging skills as Open Octofinals Judge and Novice Semifinals Chair, helping steer key elimination rounds.

πŸ›οΈ The Parliament congratulates its judge contingent for a strong showing at this year's Diliman Pre-UADC, hosted online by Diliman Debating last May 9–10

✏️ Lia Denise Tan reminded us once again why she's among the best, serving as an Invited Adjudicator and presiding over both the Novice Final and the Open Grand Final, a testament to her consistency and caliber on the panel.

✏️ Alexi Cariaga also returned to the debate room, gavel in hand, and broke in the tournament, judging the Schools Final with sharp insight and poise.

πŸ›οΈThe Parliament celebrates another exceptional performance of its contingent in the recent Taylor's Asian Parliamentary hosted by Taylor’s University last May 2-3. As the AP Majors draws near, Parl’s contingent shows strong finishes within the prep season

🎀 Kyle Edrian Bensali, Miro Fortuna, and Vince Hubilla, were able to break to the intense round of Open Quarterfinals. Additionally, Vince was able to bag the 10th Best Open Speaker award

🎀 JJ Pine, one of Parl’s esteemed alumni, also participated in the tournament, teaming up with Parl's resident members, being awarded as the 5th Best Open Speaker of the tournament

✏️ Parl’s judges showed impeccable adjudication prowess throughout in and out-rounds. Lia Denise Tan, a seasoned adjudicator in the Philippine circuit, served as an Invited Adjudicator. Together with Zali Sadueste; one of Parl’s rising names in the Asian circuit, they were able to serve as Open Grand Final Judges of the tournament.

πŸ›οΈ The Parliament congratulates its contingent on the Naga Novice AP, held last May 2–3 and hosted by Naga Comps. As a novice tournament designed to welcome emerging talents into the circuit, this served as the perfect launching pad for our newest recruits to introduce themselves, gain valuable experience, and showcase the bright future of The Parliament

🎀 Yohann Fordan made an impressive debut, being awarded as the 7th Best Open Speaker of the tournament, a promising sign of what's to come from one of Parl's newest members

✏️ Ligaya Esteves and Tobit Sanchez, both Parl freshies, also broke in the tournament as adjudicators. In his debut for the organization, Tobit Sanchez went on to judge the Open Semifinals, while Ligaya Esteves presided over the High School Final; proving that Parl's new generation is already contributing across levels

πŸ›οΈ The Parliament proudly applauds Khyla Domingo for her excellent performance in the Malaysia International WSDC last April 25-26. As she once again returns to the global competition as a judge to weigh and pinpoint key clashes within these high tension rounds

πŸ›οΈ Last April 25-26, The Parliament hosted the 17th installment of Southern Luzon Inter High School Debate Encounter (SLIDE UP) in UPLB. Notable resident members participated and showcased their adjudication prowess to appraise the matters, arguments, and clashes of sharp-minded young debaters. Hence, the organization highly recognizes their excellent performances and efforts in pursuit of their passion in the field

✏️ Miko del Rosario earned the 9th Best Judge Award and successfully broke as an adjudicator. She finished her strong run by judging in the Makiling Cup Final

✏️ Vince Hubilla served as a judge for the Open Grand Final. He was also honored with the 10th Best Judge Award for his individual performance

✏️ Louise Wee and Marvhie Binwag, both seasoned judges within the circuit, took part as the judges of the Open Semifinals. Their expertise helped the kids of southern Luzon provide excellent adjudications during these critical rounds

✏️ Melai Paner was able to be a part of the judges of the Open Quarterfinals and showed her strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate high-stakes rounds.

βš–οΈ Kyle Edrian Bensali, one of Parl’s stellar minds, was chosen for one of the tournament’s Core Adjudication Panel (CAP) and helped to lead the tournament by setting motions and managing the judging process

✊ As SLIDEUP β€˜26 has concluded, may these achievements mean more than just being mere medals but something to be cherished as a reminder to keep pushing through amidst the challenges in pursuit of being better debaters and judges. The Parliament aims to continue to foster the South Luzon debate circuit
