Habang ginugunita natin ang kalayaang ipinaglaban ng ating mga ninuno, kinikilala rin natin na ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang alaala ng nakaraanโ€”ito ay isang patuloy na panawagan para sa kasalukuyan.

Para sa kabataang Pilipino, ang tunay na kalayaan ay nangangahulugan ng malayang pagpapahayag ng saloobin, karapatang magprotesta at magpakilos para sa mga isyung mahalaga sa bayan, at pakikilahok sa demokratikong proseso nang walang takot sa pananakot, panggigipit, at red-tagging.

Hindi ganap ang kalayaan kung may mga kabataang natatakot gamitin ang kanilang boses. Hindi ganap ang kalayaan kung ang pakikilahok sa mga usaping panlipunan ay itinuturing na banta sa halip na mahalagang bahagi ng demokrasya. At hindi rin ganap ang kalayaan kung ang mga patakaran at desisyon ay higit na nagsisilbi sa interes ng mga dayuhang kapangyarihan kaysa sa kapakanan ng sambayanang Pilipino.

Sa diwa ng Hunyo 12, nananawagan tayo para sa tunay na kalayaanโ€”isang kalayaang nagbibigay-lakas sa kabataan na magsalita, kumilos, mag-organisa, at manindigan para sa bayan; isang kalayaang nagtataguyod ng pambansang soberanya at tinitiyak na ang pamahalaan at mga institusyon ay naglilingkod sa mamamayang Pilipino, hindi sa anumang dayuhang imperyalistang interes.

It recognizes their continued efforts in advocating for acceptance, inclusivity, and the freedom to express their identities authentically. It also reaffirms the importance of upholding their rights and ensuring that every individual is treated with respect, fairness, compassion, and dignity.

Beyond their advocacy, members of the LGBTQIA+ community continue to make meaningful contributions across various sectors of society. Through their talents, leadership, creativity, and dedication, they help strengthen communities, foster innovation, and inspire positive change. The Supreme Student Council Federation congratulates The Money Minds for ranking 6th Overall among 39 teams nationwide in the Money Market Association of the Philippines x Chartered Financial Analyst Society Philippines Cup Inter-Collegiate Bonds Trading Competition 2026.

Held from March 12 to May 6, 2026, the competition gave students first-hand experience in government securities trading using real-time market data, with each team starting with a virtual seed fund of PHP 1 billion.

Under the guidance of Maโ€™am Rosemarie N. Gella, MBA, the team also received the Ethics Champion Award for consciously following trading rules and best exhibiting the expected behavior of market professionals.
