Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) student Jerwynn F. Basinal was hailed as champion of the 30th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) CALABARZON Regional Championship held on October 14, 2026, in Lipa City, Batangas.

Representing Quezon Province, Basinal secured the regional title and earned a slot in the National Finals, where he will represent CALABARZON.

Meanwhile, fellow SLSU student Vince Xylem Q. Labso secured fourth place in the competition, placing two university students among the regionโ€™s top five finalists.

Bahagi ng kasaysayan ng bayan ang patuloy na pakikibaka ng mga katutubong Pilipino upang ipagtanggol ang kanilang lupain at igiit ang mga karapatang madalas na isinasantabi.

Sa kabila ng kanilang mahalagang ambag sa bayan, nananatiling hamon ang pagkilala sa kanilang karapatan, sa sariling lupain, kabuhayan, at kinabukasan.

Hindi dapat maging tahimik ang lipunan sa mga pang-aabusong kumikitil sa kanilang kalayaan. Sa halip, nararapat lamang na kilalanin ang kanilang mga karapatan, pakinggan ang kanilang mga paninindigan, at patuloy na tutulan ang mga patakarang hindi makamasa.

Kaisa ang Pederasyon ng Kataas-taasang Konseho ng mga Mag-aaral ng Southern Luzon State University sa pagpapalaganap ng kamalayan at pagtataguyod ng mga karapatang pantao.

Sa paggunita sa Buwan ng mga Katutubong Pilipino ngayong Oktubre, nawaโ€™y maging daan ito upang hamunin ang mapaniil na sistema at patuloy na kilalanin ang kanilang karapatang mamuhay nang malaya sa mapagpalayang lipunan.

Southern Luzon State University โ€“ Supreme Student Council Federation (SLSU-SSCF) conducted the morning session of Project LEDGER: โ€œMoney Mapping: Mastering & Navigating towards Trust & Confidence through Financial & Accounting Standardsโ€ today, October 1, 2026, at the College of Allied Medicine Auditorium.

The seminar-workshop brings together student leaders and representatives to strengthen their knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, proper documentation, and financial accountability in student organizations.

With discussions regarding Fundamentals of Student Council Finance, Budget Planning, Contribution or Revenue Generation, Record-Keeping and Compliance, Financial Tools, and Basic Soft Skills workshops, this aims to equip student leaders with practical knowledge they can apply in managing organizational funds and proper record-keeping.
