On this sacred observance of Mother’s Day, we, the Brethren of Manuel Luis Quezon Lodge No. 78-Independent Order of Odd Fellows, render humble homage unto the noble Mothers whose virtues shine brighter than the morning star.

Verily, the hand that rocketh the cradle guideth the destiny of nations. Through thy gentle counsel, steadfast devotion, and unyielding charity, thou hast nurtured generations in the paths of Faith, Hope, and Charity.

To be part of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows is not a title to display—it is a life to be lived.

The world does not need more members in number; it needs men and women of action, whose hearts move before recognition, and whose hands serve without hesitation.

It is easy to sit in meetings, to wear the emblem, to speak the words.

But the true measure of an Odd Fellow is found outside the lodge—in the quiet acts of kindness, in the unseen sacrifices, and in the willingness to stand for what is right even when no one is watching.

When someone is in need, do you step forward?
When the world grows cold, do you bring warmth?
When others remain silent, do you choose to act?

Our principles—Friendship, Love, and Truth—are not meant to be remembered only, but to be practiced daily.

RELIEVE THE DISTRESSED: Love in Action

“Relieve The Distressed” stands as one of the Four Ancient Commands of the ,Independent Order of Odd Fellows—a timeless principle that calls each of us to transform compassion into meaningful action. It is more than sympathy; it is the responsibility to uplift those who are suffering—physically, emotionally, or financially—and to safeguard human dignity, especially in moments of vulnerability.

This guiding principle reminds us that kindness is not optional. It is lived through simple but powerful acts:

• Sharing what we have when others have less
• Listening without judgment
• Showing up when it matters most

In essence, it is LOVE expressed through service—quiet, consistent, and sincere.

In faithful observance of this command, the Manuel Luis Quezon Lodge No. 78 - Independent Order of Odd Fellows, under the leadership of our Noble Grand, RWy.Russell Wendell Morfe Dionido II, joined hands with Aryeh Yehudah Encampment No. 14 and the dedicated members of Tau Gamma Phi DENR Community Chapter to extend assistance to the fire victims of Brgy. 8, Lucena City.

Through collective generosity and unity, relief goods were distributed, including sacks of rice, boxes of canned goods, noodles, bottled water, and clothing—small offerings meant to bring comfort, hope, and reassurance to families facing hardship.

May this act of service inspire others to embody the same spirit of compassion. For in lifting others, we fulfill the true purpose of our brotherhood and our shared humanity.

EASTER MESSAGE 2026

My dear Brothers and Sisters,

On this blessed celebration of Easter, I extend my warmest greetings of peace, hope, and renewed faith to all of you.

The triumphant words, “O death, where is your sting?”, remind us of the victory of life over death, of hope over despair, and of light over darkness. Through the resurrection of our Lord, we are assured that no trial is too great, no burden too heavy, and no ending without a new beginning.

As your Noble Grand, I am deeply inspired by the unwavering commitment of our members to live out the principles of our Order—Friendship, Love, and Truth. This Easter, may we be reminded that our service to others is a reflection of the risen Christ’s love. Let us continue to be instruments of compassion, extending help to those in need and bringing light to those in darkness.

Nakakataba ng puso na mapansin ng isang broadcast giant gaya ng DZRH News ang simpleng pagsisikap ng Manuel Luis Quezon Lodge No. 78 – Independent Order of Odd Fellows sa isinagawang “ODD FELLOWS: ALALAY SA ALAY LAKAD 2026.”

Sa nasabing gawain, nagbigay ang samahan ng libreng bottled water para sa mga deboto na naglalakad mula sa kani-kanilang mga parokya patungo sa Kamay ni Hesus Healing Shrine sa bayan ng Lucban.

Bukod sa free drinking water upang mapawi ang pagod ng mga mananampalataya, naglaan din ng Medical assistance, kabilang ang ambulance na naka-standby para sa agarang pagtugon sa pangangailangan, at Police assistance upang matiyak ang kaligtasan, kaayusan, at kapayapaan sa buong ruta

Ang proyektong “ODD FELLOWS: ALALAY SA ALAY LAKAD 2026” ay pinangunahan ng Manuel Luis Quezon Lodge No. 78 – Independent Order of Odd -Independent Order of Odd Fellows, katuwang ang mga sumusunod na organisasyon:

In true Odd Fellowship spirit of Friendship, Love, and Truth, and in solidarity with the Christian community and the faithful of the Diocese of Lucena, Manuel Luis Quezon Lodge No. 78 – Independent Order of Odd Fellows, under the leadership of our Noble Grand, RWy. Russell Wendell Morfe Dionido II, successfully launched a meaningful community service initiative entitled:

“ODD FELLOWS: ALALAY SA ALAY LAKAD 2026”

Guided by our enduring principles of benevolence and service to humanity, this activity aimed to extend assistance and comfort to devoted pilgrims from Lucena City and neighboring towns who journey on foot from their respective parishes to Kamay ni Hesus in the municipality of Lucban as a profound expression of faith and devotion.

In the spirit of charity and brotherhood, our assistance center humbly provided the following services:
• Free drinking water to refresh weary pilgrims
• Medical assistance, with an ambulance on standby to respond to immediate needs
• Police assistance to uphold safety, order, and peace along the route

This noble undertaking was spearheaded by Manuel Luis Quezon Lodge No. 78 –Independent Order of Odd Fellows, in fraternal collaboration with partner organizations equally committed to service:

With great pride and unity, Manuel Luis Quezon Lodge No. 78 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows together with the brethren, families, and distinguished guests who witness the 4th Public Installation of Elected and Appointed Officers. This significant occasion marks another milestone in the Lodge’s continuing journey of leadership, service, and brotherhood.

Guided by this year’s theme, “I am, and will always be, an Odd Fellow — A Covenant of Service and Brotherhood,” the event reaffirms the unwavering commitment of every member to uphold the enduring principles of the Order: Friendship, Love, and Truth.

The installation ceremony stands as a symbol of trust and confidence bestowed upon the newly elected leaders, who are entrusted to carry forward the mission and responsibilities of the Lodge. Through their dedication and service, the noble ideals of Odd Fellowship continue to thrive, fostering unity, compassion, and meaningful service within the community.

The ceremony was officiated by Installing Officer, RWy. Bro. John Paul S. Soriano, GW, who, due to unforeseen circumstances, he also represent MWy. Bro. Ian Irving Bacungan, GS.

We are likewise honored to welcome our Guest of Honor and Speaker, MWy. Bro. Apollo Neil Monroy, PGS, whose presence that inspire and guide the brethren in this momentous occasion.

It has been years Three (3) years since we received our 3rd Degree and were elevated in rank as members of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

May the Spirit of Friendship, Love, and Truth continue to guide us as we faithfully obey the ancient commands of our Order: to visit the sick, relieve the distressed, educate the orphan, and bury the dead.
