In a virtual program, the program highlights the theme: โ€œACHIEVE-ing Knowledge Economy Together for a Future-Ready Bagong Pilipinas,โ€ that envisions CHED in strengthening Philippine higher education that contributes to a knowledge-based economy, while aligning โ€œBagong Pilipinasโ€ framework.

The incredible power of ๐‰๐Ž๐‡๐ ๐๐€๐“๐‘๐ˆ๐‚๐Š ๐‚๐”๐๐ˆ๐๐€ was showcased against the powerhouse boxer from Region 7 โ€“ PMI Bohol during the National PRISAA Games. In the 1st round, CUBINA delivered a strong shot that knocked down his opponent, showing his determination and fighting spirit inside the ring. However, despite his best efforts, CUBINA fell short in the final round and proudly secured the Silver Medal for Region 8.

This achievement is already a huge milestone, especially for Region 8 as a first-timer in the boxing category. Sa bawat buhay na kanyang natulungan, makikita ang tunay na diwa ng malasakit at serbisyo. ๐Ÿ’™

Mula sa pagiging volunteer ng Philippine Red Cross hanggang sa pagiging lider, g**o, at tagapagtaguyod ng healthcare at skills training, pinatunayan ni Dr. Almira Miras ng St. Joseph College ng Maasin, Southern Leyte na ang tagumpay ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa mga parangalโ€”kundi sa dami ng buhay na nabibigyan ng pag-asa at oportunidad.

Bilang isang dedicated TESDA trainer sa loob ng 18 taon, patuloy niyang hinuhubog ang mga learners sa larangan ng healthcare upang maging handa sa trabaho, serbisyo, at mas makabuluhang kinabukasan.

Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang adbokasiya sa edukasyon, kalusugan, at community development, mas nailalapit ang dekalidad na healthcare sa bawat Pilipino.

Bilang pagkilala sa kanyang natatanging kontribusyon at dedikasyon sa serbisyo at skills development, pinarangalan si Dr. Miras bilang 2025 Regional Awardee para sa TESDA Idol (Wage-Employed Category) at sa Tagsanay Awards ng TESDA, mga pagkilalang sumasalamin sa kanyang kahusayan, leadership, at inspirasyong ibinabahagi sa komunidad.

LOOK | Saint Joseph College, together with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), officially formed a partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the establishment of a Job Placement Office.

The event was graced by DOLE Regional Director Atty. Dax Villaruel, PESOMAEV/PESOMASOL President Norman Victor Ordiz, Supervising LEO and Officer-in-Charge of DOLE-SLFO Eden Ligaya Golong, LEO III Lizlie Ann Ladrera, School President Rev. Msgr. Oscar A. Cadayona, and the Academic Council.

This commitment aims to empower students and graduates by enhancing employment opportunities within the community and bridging education and employment toward wider opportunities.

For the Elementary Level, the institution achieved a 100% passing rate for first-takers, while the Secondary Level attained a 89.47% passing rate.
