MABALACAT CITY COLLEGE โ With the theme Empowering Educators: Leading in Crisis, Reimagining the Future,โ Mabalacat City College (MCC) successfully held its Teachersโ Day Celebration in conjunction with its In-Service Training (InSeT) and Team Building Initiative on October 16โ17, 2025, at The Glory Hotel and Residence, Clark, Pampanga.
The two-day event was graced by City Mayor Gerald Guttrie P. Aquino and Vice Mayor Jun T. Castro, whose presence underscored the City Governmentโs strong support for MCCโs faculty and educational initiatives. Under the leadership of College President Dr. Sonny N. De Guzman, together with the Vice Presidents, Deans, and teaching personnel, the celebration brought together the entire MCC teaching community in a meaningful blend of professional growth, unity, and camaraderie. A highlight of the program was the Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly elected MCC Faculty Association Officers, officiated by Mayor Gerald Guttrie P. Aquino.
The ceremony symbolized the facultyโs dedication to uphold the values of service, excellence, and integrity. The officers pledged to lead their peers in advancing shared governance, promoting faculty welfare, and strengthening MCCโs role as a center for transformative education aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) โ particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The InSeT sessions were designed to equip educators with leadership, crisis management, and pedagogical innovation skills, fostering resilience and creativity in the ever-evolving landscape of education. The sessions included dynamic workshops, collaborative learning exercises, and interactive team-building challenges that strengthened professional and interpersonal connections among MCC faculty members.
In a heartwarming gesture, Mayor Aquino and Vice Mayor Castro personally contributed cash gifts from their own pockets to honor MCCโs teachers and make the celebration even more memorable. Participants described the event as โ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
