National University paid tribute to our teachers by featuring their stories in the LIWANAG CineKwento 2026 Film Festival.

ICYMI: National University Celebrates 109 New Licensed Civil Engineers

National University produced 109 passers of the September 2026 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination (CELE) from four campuses.

Recording an 80.38% institutional passing rate for first-time takers, NU Dasmariñas led with 100%. NU Baliwag followed with 92.86%, while NU Laguna and NU Manila scored 65% and 63.64%, respectively.

NU also achieved a 70.60% overall passing rate, far surpassing the national passing rate of 37.14%.

NATION’S PRIDE! 🇵🇭🥋

National University’s former student-athlete, Kurt Barbosa, bagged a silver medal in the Men’s Taekwondo -58 KG category at the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.

During his days at NU, he made history in UAAP Season 81 as ROY-MVP (Rookie of the Year-Most Valuable Player) and champion. He ended his collegiate career as a three-time champion (UAAP Seasons 81, 82, and 85) and two-time MVP (UAAP Seasons 81 and 85).

Barbosa also carried the country’s flag numerous times, notching three consecutive golds in the SEA Games (2019, 2022, and 2023) and becoming the first Filipino male taekwondo athlete to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after 2008.
