Demonstrating its steadfast commitment to youth empowerment, the LGU Mabalacat, under the leadership of Mayor Hon. Gerald Guttrie Aquino, through the City Youth Development Office led by Ms. Lacel Baluyut, awarded financial assistance to registered youth and youth-serving organizations earlier today.
Held at the Office of the City Mayor, the program benefited twenty (20) RYOs and RYSOs each receiving P15,000.00 to help sustain and strengthen their respective programs, projects, and activities.
The event was graced by the presence of SK Federation Vice President and MCYDC Vice Chairperson Hon. Jaydee Layson, who conveyed his strong support for the organizations and expressed his eagerness to foster closer collaboration between youth organizations and SKs.
Mayor Aquino also extended his congratulations to all beneficiary organizations, recognizing their dedication to making meaningful contributions within their communities. He highlighted the importance of collective efforts, encouraging the youth to remain active, engaged, and committed to public service.
This initiative forms part of the Mabalacat City Youth Development Plan for Fiscal Year 2023–2025 under the center of participation in Active Citizenship.

The City Youth Development Office, in partnership with JCI Mabalacat Malasa, successfully conducted the leadership training “YouthSync: Aligning Leaders for Impact” at The Glory Hotel and Residence. The event gathered youth leaders from various organizations across the city, offering meaningful discussions on leadership, ethical public service, project management, and organizational development through expert-led sessions.

Through this initiative, participants enhanced their leadership skills, strengthened collaboration, and were empowered to take active roles in youth-centered governance. Our League of Generalists 2nd Year Representative, Angelo Macapagal, proudly attended the event, representing the League of Generalists and embodying our commitment to leadership and service. 🌟

Today, we commemorate the 40th anniversary of the historic People Power Revolution, when millions of Filipinos gathered along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) to peacefully stand for democracy. Their unity and courage marked a turning point in our nation’s history and restored democratic rule.

As we remember this significant event, we honor the sacrifices made and renew our commitment to protect our freedoms and uphold democratic values. We resist, we remember — never again, never forget.
