Fifty-four years have passed since Martial Law was declared in the Philippines, but the passage of time does not erase what happened.

We remember the lives disrupted, the freedoms suppressed, the voices silenced, the families who lost loved ones, and the countless Filipinos who endured fear, violence, imprisonment, and injustice. We remember the journalists, activists, students, workers, artists, and ordinary citizens who continued to speak and resist despite the risks.

History deserves to be remembered in its entirety; not only through dates and names, but through the experiences of the people who lived through it.
