It’s been raining in Metro Manila, but this did not dampen the spirits of our barristers! 🌧️💪

It was an enthusiastic Day 2 last Wednesday, September 9, as our Herons faced the Civil Law and Land Titles and Deeds exam and the Labor Law and Social Legislation exam.

Despite the rain and the challenges of another long day, our Herons continue to show determination, courage, and perseverance as they take on each exam one step at a time.

🙏 Let us continue to pray for our Herons as they enter the final stretch of the Bar Examinations. May God bless them with good health, wisdom, and clarity of mind as they complete the examinations on Sunday, September 13.

𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐍𝐄 ⚖️

Today marks the first day of the Bar Examination, a day our barristers have spent years preparing for.

After years of rigorous preparation through the UMak School of Law curriculum, our barristers have finally arrived at the moment they have long worked and sacrificed for: taking their first examinations as Bar candidates.

Today, September 6, 2026, they faced the Political and Public International Law and Commercial and Taxation Law examinations, collectively accounting for 35% of their final rating.

For our 14 Herons, and for the 12,029 aspiring lawyers taking the Bar Examination this year, this day marks more than the beginning of the Bar. It is a testament to years of sacrifice, perseverance, and discipline.

One day, you dreamed of becoming a lawyer.

Today is Day One of turning that dream into reality.

The Chairperson, Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel H. Gaerlan, presents the Political and Public International Law examination questions to law school deans during the Breakfast with the Deans held at the St. Maur Auditorium at San Beda College Alabang, this year’s national headquarters.

Held on the first day of the exams, the event was attended by Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo, who delivered the closing remarks; Senior Associate Justice Marvic M.V.F. Leonen; Associate Justices Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa, Amy C. Lazaro-Javier, Henri Jean Paul B. Inting, Rodil V. Zalameda, Ricardo R. Rosario, Jose Midas P. Marquez, Antonio T. Kho Jr., and Raul B. Villanueva; and law school deans from across the country.
