From the Entrance of Colors and turnover of command, to classroom discussions on DRRM, drug education, crisis mobilization, and reserve unit operations, the second training day brought new lessons and responsibilities to every cadet.

FROM ONE LEGACY TO THE NEXT.

On 22 AUGUST 2026, the cadets of the 270th NROTCU gathered for another day of training, discipline, and learning.

The morning began with the organization of cadets into their respective platoons, followed by the opening address of the Program Director of ROTC, CDR Bernardo Miranda PN(GSC)(RES), followed by the Entrance of Colors. This day also highlighted the formal turnover of duties to the incoming commanders. The outgoing commander, CDT/COL. John Michael M. Gallarado 1CL, delivered a valedictory speech, followed by an address from the newly appointed commander, CDT/CPT. Leonardo Buscato 3CL.

This session also focused on Drug Education, the Four Pillars of DRRM, Crisis Mobilization Roles, and the Operational Roles of Reserve Units. From ceremony to classroom, the second training day strengthened the cadetsโ€™ discipline, knowledge, leadership, and readiness to serve.

The event was led by ๐‚๐€๐๐“. ๐Œ๐€๐‘๐™ ๐ƒ. ๐“๐€๐ƒ๐”๐‹๐€๐ ๐๐(๐†๐’๐‚), who guided the commencement of the dayโ€™s activities and set the tone for the orientation that followed.

The day marked the ๐›๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐š ๐ง๐ž๐ฐ ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ in their ROTC journey. Through the orientation and welcoming program, guiding rules and protocols were introduced, together with proper military greetings, curriculum, grading system, training schedules, and holistic responsibilities that will shape these courageous individuals.

Each cadet was introduced to the different ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ, carrying their own unique purpose and responsibilities. From the Military Police, Media Team, and Medics to the Basic Cadets, COCC, and Corps of Sponsors, every unit serves an important role in building disciplined and capable leaders of the nation.
