In accordance with 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔-𝟎𝟐𝟎, the Higher School ng UMak will implement an 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 tomorrow, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, due to the anticipated inclement weather, heavy rainfall, and gusty winds brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

The HSU–SSG encourages everyone to remain vigilant, stay informed through official announcements from the University of Makati, HSU Administration, and HSU–SSG, and take the necessary precautions to ensure your safety.

We also remind everyone to stay indoors as much as possible, secure your households, and make sure family members and pets are safe. Please keep an eye on official weather advisories and always prioritize safety above all else.

Second week in and the Heron life is already serving all kinds of stories. Some are still adjusting, others are still finding things out with their new classmates and environment, and a few… let’s just say time management is already being tested. ⏳

Freshies, we know the transition from high school to university can feel like stepping into a whole new world — new faces, new routines, and new challenges. But that’s exactly where the fun begins.

Meanwhile, administrative operations will continue on-campus (face-to-face) operations.

Everyone is urged to remain vigilant, stay updated through official weather bulletins, and take precautions to stay safe.

HSU Freshmen Orientation 2026 officially taken flight as our newest students marked an exciting journey filled with 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬. From the thrilling Egg Hunt icebreaker to the introduction of both our academic and non-academic organizations, every moment opened new opportunities to connect, discover, and belong.

From shared laughter to memorable experiences, the day celebrated the excitement of starting anew and reminded every freshman that the Higher School Ng UMak is more than just opportunities and quality education—it's about embracing every challenge, creating lasting friendships, and making every level count.

With hearts full of passion, these Floppy Birds are ready to dodge every obstacle, clear every stage, and soar beyond expectations as they chase their ultimate high score.
