Against all odds, the aspiration for freedom outweighs all possibilities of an unreliable tomorrow.

There was once a day when our autonomy was uncertain and a bright future seemed far out of reach. But Filipinos were determined to live in a future where we recognize who we are and to make a name for ourselves.📜

Today, August 31, 2026, we commemorate the Filipinos who showed unwavering determination, perseverance, and enthusiasm for the independence of our motherland. They are the catalysts of the future we have today and tomorrow. From the primary pillars such as Dr. Jose Rizal, who awakened the nationalism of our fellow Filipinos, to Andres Bonifacio, who had the burning dedication to lead the revolution—and to all the unnamed heroes who gave their all for the freedom they once hoped for. Our heroes are the foundation that enables us to live and experience a bright future fueled by love. ☀

May this be a reminder to appreciate all things, no matter how big or small. Every event that has shaped or will shape our nation happened because someone chose to make a difference. As we honor our heroes, let this be an inspiration to speak up, to do more, and to love our homeland. 🇵🇭

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

We all go through different challenges, and we all cope in our own ways. There will be days when things feel overwhelming, heavy, and difficult to bear. 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀.

Reaching out does not make you a burden. Sometimes, asking for help is one of the bravest things you can do. You don’t have to carry everything all at once.

[Advisory 2026-022] Due to the continuous inclement weather, please be guided by the class and administrative work arrangements at the University of Makati tomorrow, August 11, 2026:

1. All classes across all levels will remain in an online synchronous modality.
