The University of Makati, through the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, has entered into a partnership with Destileria Limtuaco & Co., Inc., one of the oldest and leading distilleries in the country, which produces a wide range of distilled spirits and alcoholic beverages.

This shared undertaking focuses on experiential learning, innovation, research, product development, and brand promotion, which will strengthen the academic curriculum through industry collaboration.

Present at the contract signing were DLCI Executive Vice President Aaron Aw, University President Elyxzur Ramos, University Secretary Juvy Hermosura, CTHM Dean Thomas Ronerick Jao, College Secretary John Brienford Calunod, Hospitality Management Chair Jefferson Marcelo, Center for Linkages and Placement Director Cynthia Jose, and Linkages Coordinator Jay Ann Lauronilla-Barres.

Congratulations to College of Innovative Teacher Education Dean Jayson Bergania on his appointments to different national professional organizations.

Dean Bergania has been elected as Vice Chair of the Executive Officers and Board of Directors of the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators, Inc. – National Capital Region. ICYMI. The UMak Muslim Students Association brought the community together yesterday, May 27, for the Eid al-Adha Congregational Prayer.

The gathering served as a beautiful reminder that at UMak, diversity is celebrated and every culture and belief is honored with respect and inclusivity.

The University Student Council (USC) launched "5 Piso para kay Heron" to support UMak students affected by the fire in Sta. Ana, Taguig.

Scan the QR code for cash donations. In-kind donations may be dropped off at the USC Office located on the 5th Floor of the Administration Building, from May 28 to June 1, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

We call on all employees, students, and alumni to support this initiative.

LOOK. University President Elyxzur Ramos expressed his support for the Proteksyon sa Altapresyon: Hypertension Awareness and Screening Campaign hosted by the Department of Health and the Makati Health Department, in collaboration with the University of Makati. This initiative is dedicated to strengthening hypertension prevention and control in the country.

Health and lifestyle specialists provided lectures on hypertension prevention and management, as well as yoga sessions to promote workplace wellness. The campaign also featured free medical screenings and other health-related activities.

World Health Organization Representative Eunyoung Ko, DOH Regional Director Lester Tan, City Councilor Hon. Maribel Vitales, and OIC City Health Officer Bernard Sese joined the event together with the UMak community.
