This September 18, 2026, we’re celebrating our MCT–Decoration Coordinator, Kate Karylle C. Apitan!

Known for being our certified explorer, ambivert, at friendly girlie, si Kate yung tipo ng tao na hindi mo kailangang ayain nang matagal para gumala. One minute, wala lang. Next thing you know, “Guys, nasa Monumento ako.” Walang pasabi, may scheduled gala pala. HAHAHAHA. Carefree, outgoing, and always ready for the next adventure—very Kate.

And if there’s one thing na talagang hindi matatawaran sa kanya, it’s her love for performing. Ever since high school, dancing has always been one of her passions. Whether it’s a dance performance, a pageant, or anything that puts her in front of a crowd, you can tell how much she enjoys being on that stage. Give her a spotlight, a little space to perform, and an audience ready to clap and scream, and she will give you a performance worth remembering.

Singing? Dancing? Ukulele? Tara, dance class.
Anything basta nasa harap ng maraming tao? Kate, nasa'yo na ang stage.

But behind all that carefree energy and confidence is someone who knows exactly what she wants. Fierce si Kate in her own way—kapag may gusto siya, hindi lang basta gusto. Pinaghihirapan niya. She puts in the time, effort, and dedication to get where she wants to be. And that determination is one of the things that makes her who she is.

And when it comes to the people she loves, ganoon din siya katindi. Kate loves wholeheartedly. She gives her time, effort, and so much of herself without holding back. She is the kind of person who will make an effort because she genuinely cares, and maybe that's also why so many people love having her around.

So on your birthday, we hope you receive the same energy you so freely give to others. Sana this year gives you more places to explore, more stages to perform on, more songs to sing, more dances to learn, more spontaneous gala plans, and more moments where you can simply enjoy being young, carefree, and unapologetically yourself.

Happy World Teachers’ Month!

Pagbati para sa ating mga magigiting na g**o, professors, at mentors na patuloy na gumagabay sa atin sa loob at labas ng paaralan.

Behind every “1 whole sheet of paper,” every deadline, every recitation, and every “Class, may quiz tayo today,” is a teacher who patiently shares not only knowledge, but also lessons that go beyond the four corners of the classroom.

Their patience, dedication, and wisdom have helped shape the students we are today. They teach us lessons from books, but more importantly, they teach us how to think, persevere, make mistakes, and try again. They remind us that learning is not always about getting the right answer—it is also about having the courage to keep asking questions.

To all our teachers and professors, thank you for believing in your students even during the moments when we doubt ourselves. Thank you for answering our endless questions, understanding our struggles, and continuing to show up with the same passion and commitment.

And yes, we may still ask, “Ma’am/Sir, pwede po bang half sheet na lang?” but we hope you know that the lessons you have given us will stay with us for a lifetime. 🤍

On September 3, 2026, the 𝗖𝗠𝗨-𝗝𝗠𝗔 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 had the opportunity to attend the 𝗣𝗔𝗟𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at the 𝗦𝗠𝗫 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮, bringing together professionals, industry leaders, government representatives, educators, and students for conversations on the future of work.

Guided by the theme “𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.”, the conference tackled relevant discussions on 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴. Each session offered different perspectives on the realities of today’s workplace and the skills, mindset, and decisions needed to navigate what comes next.

Beyond the discussions, the conference also gave us the chance to connect with professionals, meet fellow student leaders, and explore the booths of different participating organizations and sponsors. It was a meaningful experience to see how the ideas discussed inside the conference translate into actual opportunities and practices in the professional world.

The Student Affairs and Services Office (SASO) conducted a clean-up and organization activity within the SASO office, with the Junior Management Association (JMA) extending their helping hands in organizing files and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.

We sincerely appreciate the JMA student leaders and volunteers who took the time to lend their support. Your willingness to help, even through simple tasks, reflects the value of cooperation and a strong sense of community within CMU.
