Happy National Punctuation Day! โœ๏ธ

One small dot. One tiny curl. One short line. And your whole message changes.

Without punctuation, we are all just guessing what the other person really means.

"Let's eat grandma."
"Let's eat, grandma."

The first one is more like cannibalism.๐Ÿซช
The second one is inviting grandma to eat.๐Ÿค—

See the difference? Punctuation doesn't just correct your grammar. It protects your intention.

It tells your reader where to breathe, where to pause, and what you actually feel.

So if you want to be understood, don't just choose the right words. Place the right marks.

If history is written by those who make their mark, then this chapter belongs to the English Society.

It began with a championship. Then came another. In 2023 and 2024, ๐„๐’๐Ž๐‚ stood at the top as the ๐›๐š๐œ๐ค-๐ญ๐จ-๐›๐š๐œ๐ค ๐Ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‚๐“๐„ ๐–๐ž๐ž๐ค. But perhaps the most remarkable part of the story is what happened in 2024. In a single year, ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐„๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก ๐’๐จ๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐š๐ง ๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐จ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐š๐ซ๐ฒ 29 ๐š๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐๐ฌ, turning dedication into recognition and teamwork into a legacy.๐Ÿ”ฐโœจ

But numbers alone cannot tell the whole story. Behind every award were students who stepped forward, talents that were given a stage, countless hours of preparation, and a community that chose to believe in one another. Every competition became an opportunity to represent, every challenge became a chance to grow, and every victory became another page in the story of ๐„๐’๐Ž๐‚.

This is not simply a list of achievements.

This is a legacy.

This is the story of a society that continues to write its name into CTE Week history.

One achievement, one ๐–๐Ž๐‘๐ƒ๐’๐Œ๐ˆ๐“๐‡, and one chapter at a time.

This is ๐„๐’๐Ž๐‚. This is our history. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ†

On ๐’๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, the English Society takes the lead in telling one that belongs to all of usโ€”the story of a nation bound by courage, identity, and hope.

With every word spoken and every note sung, may we remember that language is more than expressionโ€”it is a reflection of who we are.

Join us at the ๐‚๐Œ๐” ๐๐ฎ๐š๐๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ž at ๐Ÿ”:๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ“ ๐€.๐Œ. as we raise our flag, our voices, and our sense of nationhood.

Think youโ€™ve mastered English grammar?

Think again! Because sometimes, even the simplest sentences can make us stop and think.

PUT YOUR ENGLISH SKILLS TO THE TEST!

Hereโ€™s todayโ€™s challenge:

๐Ÿ“ What is the term for the smallest unit of sound that can change meaning in a language?

๐Ÿ‘ Morpheme
โค๏ธ Phoneme
๐Ÿฅฐ Syllable
๐Ÿ˜ฎ Grapheme

Which one is correct? ๐Ÿค”

Donโ€™t just scroll pastโ€”๐๐€๐”๐’๐„, ๐“๐‡๐ˆ๐๐Š, ๐€๐๐ƒ ๐‚๐‡๐Ž๐Ž๐’๐„!

React with the emoji that matches your answer, and letโ€™s see which choice gets the most votes!

But hereโ€™s the real challenge: Can you explain ๐–๐‡๐˜ your answer is correct? ๐Ÿ‘€

๐‘๐„๐Œ๐„๐Œ๐๐„๐‘: Learning English isnโ€™t about being perfect. Itโ€™s about being willing to practice, make mistakes, learn from them, and try again. Every question you answer helps strengthen your grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence. ๐Ÿ’ช

Whether youโ€™re an English major, a language enthusiast, or simply someone who wants to improve their communication skills, thereโ€™s always room to learn! ๐ŸŒฑ
