Granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)
In recognition of the institution’s compliance with national standards for higher education quality, governance, and academic excellence.

Date of Recognition: April 27, 2026

WHAT IS CHED INSTITUTIONAL RECOGNITION?

Institutional Recognition from CHED is the official status granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) certifying that a college or university meets the government's minimum quality standards for operations, faculty, facilities, and curriculum.

This recognition serves as the government's official seal of legitimacy. Here is what it means for a school and its students:

Key Benefits & Meanings Legal Operation:

The institution is legally authorized by the Philippine government to operate as a Higher Education Institution (HEI) and grant legitimate degrees.

Free Tuition Eligibility: For Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), institutional recognition is a major requirement to qualify for the government's free tuition and subsidy programs (via UniFAST and RA 10931).

Student Financial Assistance: Students enrolled in an institution with CHED recognition can easily apply for national educational grants, scholarships, and student loan programs.

Government & Board Exams: Recognition guarantees that graduates will be allowed to take licensure examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
