𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐈𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡
In college, we meet different faces with different personalities, but behind every face is a different story, a different journey, a different set of struggles they carry within them. We may sit beside someone every day, laugh with them, and know their name, yet still know so little about what they are carrying inside.
After a long tiring month, have you ever tapped yourself on the shoulder and said, “𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘪𝘵!”? After the countless schoolwork, deadlines, and busy schedules, did you give yourself the rest you deserve? Sometimes, in the middle of trying to keep up with everything, we forget to ask ourselves the simplest question: “𝘒𝘶𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢 𝘯𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘬𝘰?”
You are heard. You are loved. Your efforts are seen. And YOU matter. There is nothing wrong with admitting you are tired. There is strength in choosing to keep showing up even when the shadows of doubt, pressure, and worry follow you. It is okay to pause, to rest, and to breathe. Inhale courage because you are stronger than you think, and exhale the weight because you were never meant to carry it all alone.
This is also a reminder that each one of us carries a different bag. One carries an empty bag, yet its weight feels heavier than it seems, while another carries a bag overflowing with unseen burdens. Everyone carries a bag every day, but no one walks without something weighing on their shoulders.
So, may we always choose to be gentle with one another. Put the bag down when it feels heavy, and remember that there is always someone willing to help carry it when you can no longer carry it alone.
𝘚𝘰—𝘉𝘈𝘌𝘓 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, 𝘬𝘶𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘰?
𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶?
Whatever you may be carrying today, we hope you remember that you are not alone. Keep going, but remember that you are also allowed to rest. And when your bag becomes lighter, may you also become someone who helps carry another’s when they need it most.
