DR. ACERO: A MOMENT OF CELEBRATION

The university community gathered in a meaningful Recognition Day to honor the last semester’s President’s List and Dean’s List awardees—a morning filled with pride, gratitude, and renewed purpose. In his inspirational message, Dr. Jerry B. Acero delivered heartfelt words that resonated not only with the awardees but with parents, faculty, and administrators who continually support the students’ journey.

Dr. Acero began by thanking the parents, acknowledging their quiet sacrifices, daily encouragement, and unwavering belief in their children. He emphasized that behind every medal and certificate stands a family who provided love, resources, and emotional strength, often setting aside their own needs just to ensure their child’s success.

He also extended deep appreciation to the faculty members who work tirelessly to guide, challenge, and empower students. Their commitment to teaching, mentoring, and shaping character, he said, is one of the strongest pillars of the university’s culture of excellence.

A special commendation was given to the campus registrar, whose meticulousness and dedication as the record keeper ensure accuracy, integrity, and order in the academic processes. Dr. Acero stressed that maintaining secure and reliable records is vital in upholding the credibility of every student’s achievement.

In his message, Dr. Acero highlighted the importance of balance, recognizing not only academic excellence but also achievements in extracurricular activities. He reminded the students that a truly holistic education develops intellect, leadership, creativity, and social responsibility—skills that prepare them for the real world.

He also encouraged the students to remember that learning does not end with this recognition. “Education is a lifelong journey,” he said, urging them to embrace continuous learning as a habit and not just a requirement. He emphasized the value of consistency—staying committed to discipline and excellence in every season of their academic life.

With hope and confidence, Dr. Acero expressed his aspiration that many of the awardees will eventually graduate with Latin honors, carrying forward the same dedication that brought them to this recognition.

Toward the end of his message, he urged the students to share their talents and expertise with the community, reminding them that true success is found not only in personal achievements but in service—uplifting others, contributing to society, and becoming catalysts of positive change.

Dr. Acero concluded with a challenge: Aspire and achieve more. For the university’s newest batch of achievers, this moment of celebration is not merely a culmination—but a call to reach higher, serve deeper, and continue shining with purpose. #

When the SNSU Malimono's Hudyaw Sayaw took center stage and clinched the Best Performer Award, the applause was not only for the dancers who graced the spotlight but also for the many hands that worked tirelessly behind it. This victory was more than just a performance — it was a beautiful story of unity, creativity, and dedication.

At the heart of it all were the performers themselves, whose commitment went far beyond rehearsals and choreography. Without the luxury of renting costumes, they took matters into their own hands — quite literally. Guided by Jessie Boy and Albert, they conceptualized the costume designs, bought the fabrics and materials, and hand-sewed every piece with care. Each thread they stitched carried their passion and pride, a labor of love that made their victory even more meaningful.

Equally remarkable were the Teacher Education students —Fhel, Noreen, Glycel, and Mark — whose artistic touch transformed plain materials into stunning backdrops and props. With brushes and paints in hand, they volunteered their talent in visual arts without expecting anything in return. Fed only with gratitude, snacks, and meals, they poured their creativity into every stroke, giving life to the stage that framed the dancers’ story.

When time pressed and manpower fell short, the call for help reached the ROTC Officers, who didn’t hesitate to respond. In the rush of preparations, they built and assembled the plywood and wooden backdrops that completed the performance’s visual setting. Beyond construction, they lent their strength in transporting and setting up these heavy props before and after the competition — silent yet indispensable heroes of the show.

And behind all these efforts stood the unwavering support of the PTA Officers and the Campus Administration, whose financial assistance and provision of transport vehicles made participation possible. Their support bridged the gap between vision and ex*****on, enabling the team to compete with confidence and dignity.

The Sugilanon sa Sayaw success story is not just about dance — it’s a celebration of collaboration, passion, and the spirit of community. It reminds everyone that true triumph is not measured only by trophies, but by the shared journey, sacrifices, and hands that made it all possible. #
