Environmental Science takes you beyond the classroom and into the world around us. From climate change and disasters to pollution and the loss of natural resources, explore the challenges our environment faces and how science can help us find meaningful solutions.
Explore the two specializations of BS Environmental Science:
🌎Climate Change and Disaster Management (CCDM) is a specialization that takes on understanding climate change, disaster risks, and their impacts on communities and ecosystems. Students in this specialization are honed to effectively assess hazards and vulnerabilities, develop climate adaptation and disaster risk-reduction strategies, and promote proactive and sustainable community’s.
🌱Pollution Control Management (PCM) is a specialization focusing on identifying, monitoring, preventing, and controlling environmental pollution. It covers a wide array of topics such as air, water, soil, and waste management. Students are in PCM are expected to understand and properly apply knowledge and actions in line with environmental monitoring, pollution assessment, regulatory compliance, and the development of strategies to minimize environmental and public health impacts.
