LCUP Alternative Education Department: Lakbay Aral 2025 - Faith, Fine Arts, and Filipino Heritage

The La Consolacion University Philippines - Alternative Education Department successfully conducted its Lakbay Aral 2025, a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary field trip integrating key concepts from GE RPH, GE ART, and all Theology subjects. This profound experiential learning activity took students on a deep dive into history, art, and faith.

Students visited the National Museum of Fine Arts to witness the genius of Filipino artists, including a firsthand encounter with Juan Luna’s iconic Spoliarium.

The learning continued at the National Museum of Anthropology (viewing the Manunggul Jar and artifacts of various ethnic groups) and a meaningful stop at Rizal Park to reflect on the magnificent monument of Dr. Jose Rizal.

The students connected with their Augustinian roots by viewing the Memorabilia of Venerable Mother Consuelo and artifacts of the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation.

The journey culminated in Intramuros with a solemn prayer service at the Manila Cathedral and San Agustin Church, dedicating prayers for the university, their families, and the entire Filipino nation.

This Lakbay Aral was instrumental in helping students appreciate the rich historical, artistic, and spiritual treasures the Philippines holds, making textbook lessons come alive.
